Colin Kaepernick sits during national anthem

You're certifiable..... With no hope for ever achieving real world racial clarity.
Do you actually think white people teach their children they are superior to other races?

Well, truth be known at my house we gather around the table at 6:00 at share reasons why white people are superior to blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Arabs and etc.
we also adopted some black babies a while back and we've just now gotten them to the point of wishing out loud they could turn white.

You don't need to. The TV set and classroom teaches it to them. Everyday there are negative images of black people repeatedly blasted into the consciousness of every american. At school, the only time black people are mentioned is when slavery is discussed.

There's a reason black children and white children both choose to play with the white doll vs. the black doll. Anti-black propaganda is being pumped into the minds from birth. By the time they reach your age, they act as clueless as you are acting right now. As if white supremacy and black inferiority isn't something we see being propagated every minute.

CK is saying this country has never been great; Trump is saying it has been great and it can be great again.

CK is saying he doesn't respect this country; Trump is saying he does and wants to help it.

I could give two craps about CK's actions and I don't support Trump but this Internet meme level comparison lacks validity.

Where did CK state that America was "never great?" or that he "doesn't respect" it? Source?

LOL - sorry if the comparison isn't convenient.

Just the plantation bosses getting him in line, right?

Yeah, it's the same as slavery. Exercising your free will to decide not to do something because someone else's free will may choose to not keep someone who wants to join in on trivializing this country due to the new groupthink that America sucks because of events that occurred in the 1800s. Sound reasoning.

Think about that.

What's that supposed to mean?

FYI black people are not the ones that created the modern racial paradigm. We're not the ones that went around categorizing certain people as different races. That was Europeans.

White folks are the ones that decided to say we are black and inferior to them. We never went around separating people.

You are so FOS.

Everywhere on TV, you see the White Adult Male of the household depicted as a doofus or worse.

Someone want to make a list for D4H?

It's the message he's sending - I can't support the anthem of a country that oppresses minorities. Do you think he's saying we just started oppressing them?

I'm sorry it's a bad comparison worthy of a crap Internet meme (which I've actually seen).

This is absurd. I went to K-12 in the 70s and most of what we covered in school concerning black people was not about slavery.

The TV set portrays Southern people as backwards, ignorant rednecks. Is that systematic geographism? Do the people of the South grow up oppressed and full of self hate and low self esteem?

The kids in my kids daycare fight like feral dogs over the black baby doll. It's their favorite. Which is so weird because it's definitely NOT what we've been teaching her at home.

Here's a handful of what white people need to do.

It is the truth.

White people created racism, its on them to end it.

To expect black people to solve the issue of racism in America is the equivalent of expecting a rape victim to solve the problem of rape. It makes no sense.

That Africans are "oppressing" Africans.

Europeans made black people black? Did they make Asians before or after they made black people?

Your skin color wouldn't be black if not for white people? Y'all did go around and enslave each other. I guess that's better?

No it's not.

I'm sure very many things make no sense to you.

BS - racism has existed as long as races have existed

What message do you believe he's sending? Again, it's about perspective.

MANY people see his silent protest as a conversation furthering act that he hopes will help America.

You mentioned that Trump was using his disdain for the 'current' America as a jumping off point for his wanting to make it better. Why is it not OK to use his silent protest as his platform to do the same.

They are both po'd at the 'establishment' and want to make it better, right? One is getting excoriated and the other is being cheered. Perspective.

I haven't seen the meme, but it has merit whether you want to admit it or not.

.

This.

Unless he just figured this out. I think his enlightenment has a lot to do with his career being in the tank.

"I'm right; you're wrong?" It's not a matter of not wanting to admit something - I simply think it's a false comparison so I don't see the merit.

Like most low level comparisons the merit is minimal. Just because you thought it up doesn't make it some great insight into human hypocrisy. The situations are mildly comparable at best. The think they really have in common is that both are attention whores but that's a different issue entirely.

We took a field trip to the Booker T Washington monument.

Let's say there is another experiment. This time with athletic figures. Roughly the same experiment is performed. However, this time the black athletic figures were associated with "strong, fast, good" while the white athletic figures were associated with "weak, slow, bad".

Would such be proof of black supremacy?

Good. I'm glad you brought this up.

Yes, sports is one area where black people are stereotypical viewed as better. That we are bigger, stronger, faster, etc. Usually the words used are dehumanizing in nature. For example, athletes are described as "beasts" on the field.

Now reverse that sentiments for every other walk of life. That is white supremacy. The belief that white people are intellectually or morally superior to black people.

I have a problem with the racist nature at which black athletes are talked about. If you have a problem with that as well, why not have a problem with the way we're treated in every other walk of life?

I don't mind white athletes being called gym rats.
