This is absurd. I went to K-12 in the 70s and most of what we covered in school concerning black people was not about slavery.

"I'm right; you're wrong?" It's not a matter of not wanting to admit something - I simply think it's a false comparison so I don't see the merit.

Like most low level comparisons the merit is minimal. Just because you thought it up doesn't make it some great insight into human hypocrisy. The situations are mildly comparable at best. The think they really have in common is that both are attention whores but that's a different issue entirely.
