I tried to laugh all year. I stopped laughing after Mizzou. I want to laugh because we are winning our ruining seasons. Tough times to be a Vol fan, but my support like many or your's, will never waiver. Need to get back on the horse next year.

i don't know about volnation, but i don't give points for someone simply awarding scholarships so now there are a full 85 on the roster.

any coach could have done that.

when he inherited the program, making a bowl game was a genuine accomplishment and a successful season.

3 years later, making a bowl game will be a genuine accomplishment and a successful season.

that's not a heck of a lot of progress in my book

Best case scenario next year is definitely 8 or 9. 7 is attainable. 7 means we lose to Oregon, Florida, Bama, Georgia, and South Carolina: to the teams we probably should lose to next year. 8 or 9 means we beat Georgia and/or South Carolina. Could have beaten either team this year with a terrible team. Losing both those games next year is not a given. CBJ getting us back to winning games we "should" win is not the pie in the sky so many think it is. The pie in the sky is a big upset or 2 ... probly not there next year.

Why did we fire Dooley if 4 - 8 was our ceiling? Dooley could have got us four and 8. If we don't make a bowl I will be disappointed and the hire will prove to be a mistake unless there is huge extenuating circumstances.

Oh well.. no sense in watching any games next year since CFL has already told us how it plays out..

Here is to waiting on 2014 season...

Or do they already know how that will end also?

Bunch of Negavols!

So some folks who call themselves experts sitting behind a desk, said something about the program only winning 5 games and all of a sudden it's we are only going to win 5 games at best next year, give me a break. Have some faith in the program or go pull for someone else.

Tennessee o-line will be the strength of next years team, should be able to pound the rock on anyone . imo

I think we win 7 maybe 8 regular season and Hopfully a bowl win. Strong on OL and good on DL also. Better coaching staff than before.

Preseason speculations in college football always do a wonderful job of overrating and underrating teams with a few exceptions of teams that perform as expected. We have no idea what we're going to be like next year. We still have talent and I've seen many a team that lost big names only to win much better with teams that didn't have as many stars but just gelled as a team. Of course we've all seen star-studded teams that perform as expected too. There's a reason college football is known for its unpredictability.

The season before us could be worse than we ever expected or better than we ever expected.

Look at USCw this year.. Kitten and Yaw Yaw were suppose to win it all plus Barkley was the only candidate for the Heisman if you listened to the press before the season started..:hi:

I remember that same bunch talking about how Florida would only win x amount of games also this past year?? Best to wait and see what we are going to do first, because the cupboard is far from bare down on "The Hill".. One thing is for sure I think the head coach is going to be much more improved over what we had the last three years, this team may surprise some of the so called experts next year!! VFL

No offense, but where are fans supposed to get this faith you speak of.....we lost most of our play makers on offense and only had 1 SEC win with our best players
Are we supposed to forget rational logic in leiu of faith?

You guys are a bunch of idiots. We have a stout group coming back next fall. Ya we lost all of our WR but we threw the ball way to much last year and look where that got us. Our starting LBs are studs. We should have some upgrades at DBs. And if the DBSs stay healthy we should be fine. College football is a game of attrition and plenty of teams loose players and just have to restock, which we're doing.

Plus I live in florida and my neighbor went to florida and tells me that Jessie Palmer takes it up the butt and gives it to HG and 99. So screw florida, bama, Vandy and every school that isn't in East Tennessee.
