College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I just tried to make sense of it, I made it to like 3rd place and gave up...it can go so many different ways.

If Kentucky wins they are 3rd place team meaning they would be on our side of the bracket. If they lose/Florida wins, then Florida is the 3rd place team.

An enormous amount depends on how all the games play out today, but assuming we get the two seed then we want Florida to win. It would likely mean Florida is on our side as the 3 and Kentucky and Arkansas are on auburn's side as the 4/5

Yup, that’s what I was getting at, agree with you on that. Also a loss by Kentucky basically eliminated any chance they have of catching us on seed line.

That would be an incredibly fortuitous draw for us. I'd feel really good about making the finals with that bracket

I started to wonder that myself, if Michigan wins the B10 tourney they definitely could pass us up

Imo there isn't enough time for the committee to juggle teams next weekend after big showings in tourneys and that is why many times we say the committee almost ignored those events but with having a full week michigan could get a big push to move up the seed line. They will beat Purdue imo

Best case scenario is Penn State beats Purdue and Michigan beats Michigan State...then Penn State beats Michigan...but that seems a bit like playing with fire.

I think they would if we don’t win at least 2 in the sect.

I just don’t know where Purdue and MSU really stand in relation to us. But I think I want whoever wins the Purdue/PSU game to win it all

That’s how I was kinda thinking...Michigan win today and then either PSU/Purdue win it all.

Duke for sure

Add Texas A&M. Need them to lock themselves in as a Q1

For quadrant purposes;

Wake Forest over GT
Mississippi St over LSU
Vandy over Ole Miss

Also maybe inconsequential but Baylor is a good win for both Xavier and Wichita St, so would be good for them to lose to K State. And Creighton over Marquette to keep them from being a Q1 win for Wichita St. Can really go down the rabbit hole with this... S Dakota St is also a Q2 win for WSU, and a loss today would knock them down to Q3....

I don’t think Nevada is likely to pass us, but I’d say SDSU for good measure. Also DePaul at home vs Xavier

I think MSU is close to untouchable because of their overall record and out right regular season championship. Purdue is much more catchable imo

What about the Tennessee vs. Georgia game

Not if the committee sticks to the importance they’ve clearly placed on Q1 wins

But the committee is never consistent so you’re probably right
