College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Not surprising. Bruce is a great recruiter

He’s doing this without 2 of his higher rated guys, and less talent than he probably had each of the last 2 years. Imo it’s alot like his early years at Tennessee or the year of the NYE bust, when faced with adversity and a limited roster he for some reason becomes more successful...he plays small ball and gets the absolute most out of every single player.

Definitely agree with this post. But I am wondering what is your take on Bruce after the season? Does he stay or does he have to go? I'll hang up and listen!

Gonna be interesting to watch...Auburn has their new AD, and in a recent article the president has a quote saying Bruce knows he’s gonna have to come to his office and talk about all this sometime soon. I’m not sure what the plan is, not sure any of them know for sure, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go either way.

Auburn's last third of the SEC regular season will be brutal. Bruce is the national COY if he hangs on to 1st place in the SEC.

Its interesting you bring that up TGO because in the last third of the season is when those guards and limited bench will start having tired legs. In his first year at UT that played out. We stormed through January but then in mid February took some losses because of tired legs. So that could play out and in fact probably will starting in mid February.

Eye roll it all you want...you wonder how people take what they do from your statements, it’s because you make a dumb statement like “everyone is now questioning Florida” when in fact nobody is “just now” questioning Florida. And you said it in rebuttal to a poster pointing out how you dodged the claim of SC being a horrible team and then double down with an inaccurate claim of “everyone” now doubting Florida. SMH

Auburn sitting out the SEC/Big 12 Challenge is a swing and a miss.

BTW, assuming it returns next year... what are the odds of UT versus UT?

Yeah, I think the wild card here is that the new AD has nothing invested in Pearl.

Nah. You just want to drill down into minutia to try and act like you didn't say something you said.

Florida took a hit last night by losing to SCe. Glad we didn't do the same. Losing to bubble boy nice guy Cuonzo was bad enough.

The fact you have to include the last sentence is evidence enough that you know you’ve taken another L, rough few weeks for the Ziti fam.

Still curious who this “everyone” is

I agree. I am enjoying Scar and Florida as well. Seeing Carolina hang in there while pkaying worse than they did against us makes me feel good about Florida.

We have a pretty decent chance of being favored in every game remaining on the schedule.

Egbunu being back could really change things for Florida though.

Surprised so far with this game. Would be shocked if USCe won

Here’s a hot take...Florida is not nearly the lock many think, no I would bet they make it, but they’ve got some work left to do.

They’ve gotta finish 6-5 now to end the year with a top 50 rpi...definitely doable but more wins needed than a lot of other SEC teams.

Went out tonight and just got back and was checking the scores and had to do a double take.

There was some guy on here the other day saying how much better Florida was than Tennessee
and of course deserved to be ranked higher.

Lol

I have been high on them but tonight is telling one way or the other. I think it says more about USCe than anything. They made 3s for the second straight game and are tough as nails. They got down by 8-10 at the start of the 2nd half and I thought it was over but that team didn't quit. Impressive

Florida could beat anyone on any given night. But they definitely haven’t shown to be a consistently better team than Tennessee

Sounds like people questioning how good Florida is to me.....

Basketball talk would sure be a lot more fun if every conversation didn’t turn into a d*** measuring contest.
