College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Man it sure would have been nice to land Banchero. Made two shots down low down the stretch to put the game away. Clearly the go-to guy in crunch time. We would be serious national title contenders if he had chosen us.

I wish Jabari Smith had never disclosed the unofficial plan he had w Chandler and Banchero. Kills me

Huge win for Illinois without Cockburn and Curbelo tonight over MSU. I don’t care for the Big 10 because they always seem to be overrated but that conference is wide open this year. I think there are 7 teams within 2 games of each other. ACC is a cluster**** too.

And if I were one of those schools I might just hire Mack. I think he’s a good coach that just had too much of the court stuff swirling.

They barely missed the NCAAT last year, and then he let go of Gaudio and Luke Murray, who he had known for a long time. Not sure if he overreacted or what, but they fell off.

I just don't buy it. I mean, I'd love to see Auburn fans cry, but he's built Auburn into a consistent powerhouse. Auburn would probably pay him whatever he wants to stay. What reasons would there be to leave?
I think it would take $6 million/year to get him to leave. Will Auburn match that? I'd be a little surprised if they did as it would signify their largest commitment to basketball, ever.

Then you have to measure Pearl's ego. Something tells me he'd relish the idea of coaching a blue-blood, especially one that pits him against Cal for state superiority once again.

And lastly, he is likely tapped out on potential at a place like Auburn. Louisville is a much easier place to win and maintain that level of success. He's built a nice base at Auburn, but can he consistently keep them at that level and even increase the success?

And they would have been a high seed in 2020. His first two years were extremely promising.

Call me crazy, but Auburn may be on upset alert, tonight. Not because Mizzou should be able to keep pace based on talent. But there is just some kind of curse on teams that receive that #1 ranking for the first time in the school’s history.

Now that I’ve said that, AU will go out and drill them by 40. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Almost got a Bruin. :(

KY players dropping like flies with these ankle injuries. Two guys out with ankle rolls in less than 60 seconds of game time..
