College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Some conferences have at least adopted the seeding system where top 2 seeds get a triple bye. Only gotta win 2 games.
That’s nice but you still could have a team in one of those single-bid leagues go undefeated or only have like 2-4 losses all season, and then bam they have one bad night and don’t get to go. Basketball is too crazy of a sport for that. Maybe they should shorten their regular seasons by a couple games and have a winners and losers bracket built into their tournaments? That would at least get rid of the fluky upsets.

Vandy will beat Bama then UK cruises to the semis 😒

This is pretty much exactly how I've been thinking as well. Alabama is as streaky as it comes. They'll probably play cold tomorrow night, Pippen will go for 30, and Alabama will lose. Vandy will then be incapable of throwing it in the ocean against Kentucky.

I feel like the winner of these early games has an advantaged of being warmed up and seem to win their next game more often than they probably should.

I wish they would reward the regular season champs in those smaller conferences. They have basically made the regular season meaningless unless you are a bigger basketball conference. It’s very unfortunate.

I think the conference tournaments, while fun, are kind of silly in general. But they really make no sense for smaller conferences. The regular season champion should get the bid, and if there is a tie then have a one game playoff.

Providence got very, very lucky (what else is new?) after messing up that inbound pass. Weirdly, though, I expect them to beat the hell out of Creighton or Marquette tomorrow.

The refs tried to give the game to Florida. Refs need to be made to call the game even.
Florida lost?
