That’s nice but you still could have a team in one of those single-bid leagues go undefeated or only have like 2-4 losses all season, and then bam they have one bad night and don’t get to go. Basketball is too crazy of a sport for that. Maybe they should shorten their regular seasons by a couple games and have a winners and losers bracket built into their tournaments? That would at least get rid of the fluky upsets. Some conferences have at least adopted the seeding system where top 2 seeds get a triple bye. Only gotta win 2 games.
Vandy will beat Bama then UK cruises to the semis![]()
I feel like the winner of these early games has an advantaged of being warmed up and seem to win their next game more often than they probably should. This is pretty much exactly how I've been thinking as well. Alabama is as streaky as it comes. They'll probably play cold tomorrow night, Pippen will go for 30, and Alabama will lose. Vandy will then be incapable of throwing it in the ocean against Kentucky.
I wish they would reward the regular season champs in those smaller conferences. They have basically made the regular season meaningless unless you are a bigger basketball conference. It’s very unfortunate.
