Nothing more annoying than certain posters worshipping the guy that got us in the NCAA mess to begin with.

If not for them, the basketball forum would be the perfect place for discussions.

I haven’t noticed as much Bruce worship by posters recently, but a lot of that happens around the time that we play Barn.

There is still a lot of dislike for Barnes and ANYTHING less than a stellar performance brings them out in droves to criticize. Crazy, because the SEC is way more competitive than it’s ever been and CRB has TN living in the top 25 and even the top 15 lately.

They attack any posters that defend what Barnes has accomplished. He is on track to be the most successful coach in the history of TN basketball. And it isn’t exclusively on the court. These rosters have been loaded with high character individuals - much like how Pat Summitt used to run her program.

The NCAAT is very flawed. Bad matchups, poor seedings, difficult venues, lucky bounces, and bad whistles can all end excellent seasons on one bad outing. Bruce only took his #1 ranked team to the Sweet 16. Nobody craps on that 31-5, #5 final ranked team. But they drew a mediocre American University and then had to beat Butler in OT before getting destroyed by Louisville in the 3rd NCAAT game. The NCAAT doesn’t define a season for me.

They beat Tennessee in TBA I understand, but in no way is Kentucky a top five team. It took a historically bad offensive performance for them to barely win that game.

Sounds about right. I looked up their resume and will say that it is terrible. They are 75th in the NET as of today. 0-7 in Q1 and have a Q4 loss. Woof.
