College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Lol. Broome shoving the Florida player but holding his arm up after to act like he was just guiding him away from his teammate

No, you're the one not remotely making the point you think you are.
Your point is based on how we do in the NCAA tournament which we have yet to play…again nobody is saying you are wrong just maybe don’t spam the board with literally the same argument when we both have no clue how they will perform in the NCAA tournament…save the moaning for a possible flame out then

That’s not the point 😂 doesn’t matter if you are going into the big tournament on a heater or not based on history which was why I brought up 2022.

This is a brand new tournament and one that actually matters…if we suck you guys have every right to chastise the team and the coach, but shouldn’t we actually wait till then to make absolute statements of a possible collapse that we have seen over and over from certain posters so far the past two days.

I get it you guys are upset over we lost but the season isn’t over and the negative attitude over that possibility helps no one and provides little to no value to the board…

Kudos for hanging in there with the relentless negativity. There has never been any kind of definitive answer about the performance in the NCAA's being affected one way or the other by how a team closes out their season and conference tournaments. For every example of the team that rides a hot streak into the second weekend, you can find a couple that didn't make it out of the first weekend. And vice versa.

The Kentucky loss was what happens when a great offensive team just can't miss - it happens. To not see the MSU game as an anomaly and to draw conclusions from it tells me that someone didn't watch this team play all season.

If UT was the only top seed to crap out in their conference tournaments, maybe you have something. But all the top seeds except UConn and Iowa St. crapped the bed. Conference tournaments have been superfluous in the age of the 64-team bid, and only the teams that have to win it to get in are truly inspired. I wish they would do away with them and the conference title game in football, but revenue rules all.

We know that UT has some issues and vulnerabilities, but in watching some other teams over the weekend, who doesn't? It's almost a good thing to lay an egg like we just did with a week to get heads straight and work issues out before the one that matters. We'll have our answer soon enough, but why not wait before throwing dirt on the grave?

Yet you're the only one bitching about what I "spam", and ironically at this point you're posting more about what I posted than I actually posted. So maybe.......learn to ignore if it hurts your fee fees so much buttercup.

No one is saying the season is over in this thread. You’re just over exaggerating everyone else’s arguments so you can be overly positive and act like you are some arbiter of intelligence and emotional stability. We’re all very impressed by you.

Well no i think anybody with any decency would call out spamming threads with the same argument which you have done. Hard for anybody to ignore that

And yet...seems like eveyrone but you did. Bonus points for the irony of you talking about spamming with same argument since this is about the 3rd time you've made this post.

You will have to be more specific because the ppl I quoted were speaking in absolutes, they offered no context in their statements. Either quote the whole conversation or mind your business

I haven’t seen VSF or mookie speak in absolutes about the season being over. I’ve seen legitimate historical context posed as reason for concern, but neither have spoken in absolutes, from what I’ve seen from them in multiple threads since Friday. It seems that you’re letting your anger cloud your judgement and cause internal confusion about your own arguments.

Season is 100% not over. Feel like I’ve made that clear. Shooting how we have for the past 3 weeks will send us home in R64 though if that doesn’t improve.

In the posts he's quoted me, I'm talking about why we didn't get the #1 seed and why I don't think the game was meaningless, and also why our loss isn't the same as the other potential #1 seeds. I don't recall ever saying the season was over, or being absolute about it.

If anyone is being absolute, it's him by saying it was a meaingliness game.

Legitimate historical context? Lol sure going 7-2 in the past 9 games is something to be shameful of next time I will fall in line with your perspectives on basketball history moving forward 😂

Also I didn’t say you or the other opinions were not valid my message was clear… wait till after the tournament to bring out the “we suck in March stuff” because continually spamming each thread with the same drivel provides nothing.

If you want to talk about how JJJ and Santi have sucked shooting wise or Aidoo needs to get stronger. That to me is a good argument not simply “if we continue this shooting trend we will get bounced” well no $hit…and then they bring up non sensical historical context that got dispelled easily by me or anyone with basketball knowledge knows is BS

Also this thread isn’t even suppose to be about our team we have other threads for that…this goes back to spamming

It seems that your basketball knowledge is all based around how Tennessee has performed in this and recent seasons - which is odd, because that’s the same way the alarmists and Barnes haters think.

Barnes hater? Lol if you want I will @ you to some posters in a certain thread that feel that way maybe your time responding will be of better use in those threads…
