College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

The heck happened to Illinois? I thought at one point this season they may make a little noise in March.

This explains some. Sounds like the whole team is suffering from the major flu 😷 going around.

Unless they've had the flu for the last six weeks or so, I ain't buying it.They've not been that great since the first half of the season.
I know one thing, they better take some Tami-flu and get some fluids or Duke is going bend them over their knee next game.

Look at Michigan sneeking up and grabbing that top spot in the Big 10, err I mean 18.

I read that Ivisic (brother at Arkansas) had mono in January and missed several games and left the Rutgers game with an ankle injury. He’s averaging 12.5 and 8. Their best player, Jakucionis, missed 2 games in January to an arm injury and only played 9 minutes in a loss to Michigan State because he fouled out. Morez Johnson is now out for the year with a broken wrist. He averages 7 and 6.6 but as a freshman he had double digit points in 6 of his last 10 games.

They just aren’t the same team that started the year. But they need to pick up a few wins.

I think the term flagrant now includes intentional fouls, which that was. It doesn’t necessarily have to include menace or an intent to harm.
I know, but that’s a common foul for 100 years. A foul late to stop the clock is very similar. As someone who played for years at a young age, it’s natural to reach and contact the player as your momentum goes that way and also to stop the player from a free basket. It wasn’t hard either. They call that but allow holds and grabs off the ball all game.

I know but he grabbed him around the waste and made no attempt at the ball. You have to call it. I played competitively for 35 years, it’s not uncommon.
