College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Given that Houston will be in the running for a 1 seed with 3 SEC teams I thought this was worth mentioning. I noticed a couple of the Big 12 teams near the top have built their entire resumes in conference, like Texas Tech, so I started checking all the teams to see how they fared out of conference. The entire Big 12 has 11 out of conference Quad 1 wins. Auburn has 6 by themselves. The SEC has 30 total (24 without Auburn). 4 SEC teams have 3 or more OOC Quad 1 wins. 0 Big 12 teams have 3. So not only did the SEC whip the Big 12 14-2 head to head, the SEC is far more battle tested OOC. Unless Houston is 2 losses fewer than an SEC team, they shouldn’t be above that team in the tourney rankings.

Prime let down game. They just won the SEC and have a #1 seed locked up; A&M coming off 4 straight losses and desperately trying to right the ship. Jimmy Dykes even said early in the game it’s hard for a team like Auburn to get up for a game like this 3 days later, and A&M is a bad matchup with the way they play.

We want them to lose this game so they are ready for a get right game and stomp Alabama out. That, and we beat Texas A&M, so it makes that win against them a more quality win for us.

Hoggies without Thiero, so they probably lose tonight and get ran off the floor by Mississippi State. Hopefully enough for that game with us to finish a Q1.

Auburn is annoying in every facet of the game. Never seen such a mouthy bunch in my life. Especially Broome and B-M. And Pearl does absolutely nothing to rein them in. I hope they don’t make it out of the first weekend of the dance.
