Colts/Pats thread........

You are right about not pulling for the Colts since you are a Panthers fan. I happen to be a Titans fan and Peyton is the biggest thorn in the Titans side. I am also a UT fan and regardless of what Peyton does to the Titans I will still be a fan of his and pull for him on a personal level. It does sound like you're jealous seeing the Colts just ripped the Panthers yesterday.

Why are you so stuck on the famous aspect of it? My point was that he's one of the most famous athletes in the world FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE. If you're not jealous of Peyton Manning's success, then stop acting like you are. It's a helluva lot easier to follow players after they leave your university for the NFL than to follow a former coach of your team in the same conference. Good call on Saban and Spurrier.

What can I say, I guess I'm a rude person. You'll be aight.

Uh, you brought it up. And I never have acted like I was jealous. Nice try though. :wavey:

Uh, I didn't even watch the game yesterday. So you'd be wrong there too.

I'm not trying to be mean but what do you expect from a UT website? Of course we are going to defend Peyton Manning in this case. How can you claim to be a Vols fan and say that you no longer care about Manning? It makes no sense at all.

See now these are fair questions.

1. I expected the wrath, but dang at least have the sense like Finevol to joke about it, he might not be the brightest(J/K FV), but he is enjoyable to argue with and taunt. GO PANTHERS FV :p

2. Thanks for finally asking why instead of thrashing out and saying I'm jealous and all that other bogus. First off I didn't start following pros until I moved to this area of Charlotte 4 years ago, the panthers were here, and I finally experienced my first game and my first panther win was against, yes the Patriots a few years ago!! Peyton was already in the pros at that time, and I was not going to start watching the pros just because Peyton was going into the pros. I'm originally from Charleston, we have nothing Pro there, heck we don't even have college football here unless you count the Citadel, and my family never followed pro anything, it has always been college football, Tennessee. You also have to consider I was in Middle School when Peyton was at Tennessee, I was into football, but I didn't know a great deal of how the game worked like I do as I have gotten older. Also, Indy games are not shown here, the only time I see them is if they are Monday night or Sunday night, or if they are playing the panthers, but I was coming back from Tenn yesterday so I did not watch it. So it makes it hard to follow Peyton anyways. Like I said Peyton was great at Tenn and thats when I cared about him.

I'm still not sold on the Pats for a couple of reasons. #1 Donte and Moss tend to breakdown as the season goes along. The last time Moss starting all 16 games was 2003. Donte has never started all 16 games. Maroney is good but hasn't stayed healthy to this point either.

#2 They will be tested a couple of times this season. Even if they finish undefeated which I don't think will happen the media attention will be insane on that team.

X-factor is their defense, Brady and the evil hoody.

Manning is better because of his ability to read a D an audible and its not pass to MOSS MOSS MOSS welker, MOSS
that may be the most ridiculous thing you've ever posted Fine...and that's saying something.......:p

back it up OLD CASTLE:yes:
If I may jump in here, until this year Peyton's WRs have always been much superior to Brady's, but Brady always found a way to win.

Another thing, tread lightly bashing Newcastle.:p

I will never say Brady is not great. I think P diddy just thinks about the game at a deeper level and he does not pose for dumb magazines. Tom (glamour shots) Brady

Yes, Manning certainly does seem to shy away from the media spotlight.

well for me, im not a die hard NFL fan, not like college. I love the colts, cause i have met peyton and was his golf caddy at a golf tornument here in chattanooga. I like the falcons because i am from GA, (even though my middle school could defeat the falcons) dont really like the titans, and dont really like the pats. my boss is a huge pats fan, so theres gonna be smack talk all week, its gonna be fun
