He's been to Omaha often, and has won a natty. Has been around for a while, running a good and clean program, and is proven. If they don't want him and CTV leaves, I'd want him for us.

Plus the facilities are already in place.

At Tennessee, it's going to take 3-5 years to get where he wants to be. At LSU it's instantaneous.

LSU doesn't seem to be interested in Vitello at this point which is our saving grace.

Facilities can be built in a couple of years. Vitello is already where he wants to be - a nationally relevant program capable of winning a national title.

O'Conner has been to 5 trips to Omaha, one a runner-up, and one a national champion. He's apparently in good health. If I'm LSU I'm going for the proven commodity.

O’Conner is as dug in and established as Corbs is at Vandy. Nothing to prove to anyone.

Oh come on.....this board is in pure meltdown mode. We played poorly because we just had a bad game.

Why are we drumming up these baseless conspiracies right now? Vitello very well could leave, but if he is taking calls in the middle of the CWS where it's so blatantly obvious to his team he is leaving, then he is going to miserably fail under the spotlight at LSU. Why, on God's green earth, would he do that during a national title run and risk his team finding out when he can wait one more week and do it in the off-season?

Some of you all need to log-off the internet for at least a week or two....

Saying he thinks TV would take the LSU job if offered is different than saying he’s been told LSU is in Omaha with their focus on O’Connor.

Look man, I know a lot of us are antsy right now until TV signs an extension or LSU makes a hire. It will obviously suck if he leaves, but I would just let it play out.

unknown where they'll go in the end. Bianco is off the table, they never offered Godwin. I'm sure they'll try to get Corbin or O'Connor but they'll likely say no.

Lindsey Nelson is larger than Vandy’s stadium. Maybe Corbin wants an instant upgrade.
