The importance would be that they wouldn't get the warrant if they included the fact that the CIA said he told the truth when they used him.

Clinesmith changed the email from stating that:

Original: Carter Page was a source

Modified: Carter Page was not a source

This isn’t an innocent mistake. It was deception used to get the FISA application approved

He told the truth after he was caught but they were still able to get the FISA's on him during the time he was an "operational contact". Don't let that stop you from asserting they couldn't get the recent FISA's because of it.

I've already opined on Clinesmith. He should have been fired and charged if there is an applicable law. It doesn't hurt my feeling at all to clean up the FBI. It doesn't invalidate the FISA either.

So yes continue to cry about it.

I imagine he will be fired and charged when it's all said and done. Don't forget their is an actual criminal investigation going on regarding the FBI's handling of this.

A criminal investigation into the whole FBI. Is that a joke? Clinesmith was referred by Horowitz and that's when Durham and Barr elevated their investigation and started referring to it as a "Criminal matter". I thought he was already fired.

What are you talking about? I can't find anything on Carter Page lying to the FBI or the CIA.
