You play to win each game based on the dynamics of each game.

If conservative playcalling is needed in future games to give us best chance of success it will be called. Rightfully so.

Uhm not even the dude who likely broke his leg on the same play Campbell went down?

Players went down (both sides) all night. That field was a chit show.

Oklahoma’s D shifted a ton pre-snap which probably made us a bit more conservative. Plus it was our first true road game and our defense was spectacular.
Nico is still a freshman who will continue to see different schemes. Once we get to Bama week , I think you’ll see more agrresive plays on offense.

Not looking good for our games against Alabama and Georgia. We held on to win against the 15th ranked team and, we really don’t know just how good they are/were.

If that's our 2 losses this year , I'll be satisfied with that.

Where are the designed runs for Nico? Why haven't we seen one play where he just takes off running???? I get the injury aspect, but he is getting pressured and hit anyway. A designed run here and there would make things much harder on their defense.

If he would have had this defense, you might still be seeing orange britches strolling up and down the sidelines! Some of our fans would fuss and complain and won the Natty by only one point. But for me and my house, we will choose to take the win. I’m glad he didn’t go for on 4th down at the 42 yard line. Good play calling, Coach.

Nico still has a ways to go to become elite. Yeah I said it. Unless he improves tremendously, I don’t see us as a playoff team.

I think…..that CJH saw our players slipping around out there and realized their O could not move the ball on our D and that he just wanted to get the game over without injury. I haven’t seen players slip like that in years and it was everybody. I think the guy on their team who got carted off injury was due to the field. It looked drenched.

"Each game unfolds differently but in the first half you could feel the way that we were playing on the defensive side of the football, controlling the line of scrimmage, making it really tough on the quarterback, playing tight coverage on the back end, getting off the field on third downs,” Heupel said postgame

“As the game went into the second half it changed the way that we played and what type of situations we were going to put Nico in with our personnel changes up front,” Heupel said. “I mean all those things play into it together and at the end of the day, if you want to play really high level football, you got to have a high level defense. I think we are a 10-2 team, and that probably gets us in the playoff. I don't think we are a national title contender THIS year but probably next year. This year we will be in trouble against a team with a defense like OU that has a pulse on offense. Fortunately, there are not alot of those.
