In attempting to splice together the implicit and explicit messages in this thread, it seems to me that Warlick IMO is trying to gain control of the team . She hasn't had control; the players have. You want them to take charge of the team, but yielding control is risky. Most times they each ran the same gameplan: ME. Unfortunately that resulted sometimes in 5 different offenses. When their worlds aligned, magnificent wins occurred. When they struggled to mesh, embarrassment ensued. The inconsistency from game to game was glaring and unsettling. Just revisit the threads on here from November to March. Like rollercoasters? There is encouraging individual talent on this team, but only through a commitment to chemistry can consistent team success be realized.
I look at Cooper and Middleton transferring as good things. Our staff struggles with managing large rosters. We don't do well with too many options. We try to make everyone happy, substitute at odd times and our teams recently have lacked on-court chemistry.
This clears the way for Westbrook (a true pg) to run the show and Hayes can back her up. It makes me even more excited about next year bc I was worried Cooper or Middleton would start at pg.
Still not sure why so many fans act like a freshman pg is sacrilege. Of course she'll have moments when she makes mistakes but each year freshmen PGs across the nation lead their programs. It's not rare.

Seems like personality conflict issues mostly crop up when the coach is weak. With a strong coach whom the players fear and respect, the players are too busy trying to stay out of trouble with the coach to have other personal issues. Didn't Geno once say, "I don't need any 18 year-old friends.Drama. That is and was the problem with Holly's teams and Pat's last several years. Talented girls who act like girls. Geno wouldn't recruit this personality type.
Reports of lack of team chemistry among players was not unheard of under Pat. Reportedly The Baby Vols resented Massengale so much she almost left mid season as a freshman. Glory Johnson wasn't really fond of her. This is from family friends of Massengale. Brewer had issues with basically everything. Numerous players from Abby to Spinderella had issues making them want to leave. Coaches can do lots of things but players need to grow up and get tough. No on ever said life is fair, and Pat started the "Tennessee isn't for everyone" not as a compliment to those staying it was aimed at players who quit.Seems like personality conflict issues mostly crop up when the coach is weak. Pulls up a chair...
Are we done as far as you know on transfers?
HW must go now!
Lying is classy? Perhaps it wasn't a dismissal.I don't expect any other player movement.
So because she dismissed a player for a behavioral issue, that means Holly needs to go? Ok.
I'll say this on the issue and then it's probably best that I step away from the topic. It's incredibly classy for Holly to refer to this situation as a transfer rather than a dismissal.

It is what is done when a player leaves and it is called trying to take the high road. What happened and how it's handled and presented is neither yours nor anyone else's business. People are unbelievable in what they think they are entitled to know.
