Be funny to see him leave and the bammers promote Kiffen. How long would it take that arse clown to screw up what they've had going on down there?

I would be funny to see Lane knock the Alabama program back to where it was when Mike Shula coached Alabama.

I understand the skepticism but at age 64, if he is ever going to give the NFL another try, the Colts are about as 'ready made' an opportunity as would ever come his way. I'm sure they would fire the GM Grigson (who traded a first round pick for Trent Richardson in an epic brain fart) to give him control over player personnel decisions. They are not a rebuild at all.

Nick would be stupid not to take that job

Yep. He would probably do well there if he can avoid a player mutiny. The guy has proven himself as one of the best college coaches ever, and I would bet he really would like one more shot at the NFL.

Saban has had numerous opportunities to coach an NFL team and turned them down. He could change his mind, and I damn sure hope he does, but I doubt he leaves bama.

for enough money and total control over personnel, nick would take a pro job---it will take huge money, at least $15 million / year plus a boatload of benefits and guarantees.

Smart would still be at alaBubba if nick saTan was thinking about leaving.

There's no way Smart would have taken the UGa job if saTan was leaving because alaBubba has too much talent stockpiled and he helped recruit lots of them.

Little Nick has already proven to be a epic Fail in the NFL and trying again would be plain crazy when he can make college football history at alaBummer that may never be matched or beaten.

I also agree that it's going to be lots more fun to get the WIN with saTan and laMe still coaching them.

My guess is still that we'll lose to them in the regular season and then WIN over them in the SEC Championship game which will hurt them much more.

There's very little chance he leaves bammer. And there's zero chance Kiffin would be his replacement if he did.
My guess is if he did leave this year we'd probably see Chip Kelly at bammer.
