Could Saban be leaving?

I'll go ahead and answer for you:

No. No one is going to make Saban the highest paid coach in the NFL by 2 million dollars.

It seems doubtful to me as well. But you never know. The way expectations for sports teams are these days, a 10 million coach is starting to seem less silly sounding to me.

I just heard Chuck Pagano is staying on with the Colts.

He is indeed. Apparently, Andrew Luck made it clear that he wanted Pagano to stay and that ended the matter. They are also retaining the GM Ryan Grigson which is a highly questionable move based on some of his decisions.

A 10 miilion dollar coach may soon happen. But it's going to be a guy like Carroll, who has won a Super Bowl and is currently making around 8 million.

A guy with a lifetime record of 15-17 is not going to be making 33% more than the guy in New England.

LOL! Who do you think it was that made that franchise great in the first place? Sure, Al Davis should have relinquished control over operations in the 90's but I can think of a lot more things he got right in his career than Lane Kiffin ever has.

So? Because he was great in the 70s and 80s, that excuses how utterly he effed up the franchise the last 15 years he was around?

And who said Kiffin was "more right" than Davis? The point is if you are going to hold Kiffin's time in Oakland against him, then you have to ignore that for the reason Davis hated him, Kiffin was right. Also Davis went through coaches like chewing gum so it's not like Kiffin was some weird case.

I think Chip Kelly coaches Texas in 2017 while Tom Herman coaches Texas A&M.

Not a chance. Chip Kelly is going to stay in the pros as long as he can, and albeit his poor track record, it'll be at least 2018 before he comes back to the NCAA.

On the flip note, Herman is just waiting one more season for Strong to be fired. He'll be the first candidate for the Texas job, which he has stated is his dream job.

Saban won't leave Alabama for the pros. He tried that before and failed.

BREAKING: Tampa Bay Insider can confirm that Nick Saban is in Tampa today to interview for the open Head Coach position.

O/U on how many posters actually believe that? Will set the number at 15.

You're a bammer so obviously you ain't going to believe in what we say. It's almost like talking to a wall most of the time. Hell if I'm a big time college coach and I see that they have head coaching jobs available in the NFL, I'd interview too. It might not be true but Saban might want another shot at the NFL again. It's never safe to say that he'll retire from college.

Probably because this place is wrong about where Saban is headed 99% of the time.

InB4 "I'm not going to be the coach at Alabama".

I don't see the point of him leaving for the NFL. He already coaches a pro team. Makes 5mil plus. Has total control. What is to gain that he doesn't already have.

I don't know about you, but I'm a competitive guy. And if I fail at something, I'm going to go back and try it again. And I believe that's how CNS is.
