Country music thread

She isn't a typical kind of pretty. I think she's a great song writer. Not a fantastic singer, but a great song writer. She weaves a great story with her lyrics, chooses good melodies and pleasing to the ear notes, and makes something you can listen too. I think other people could do a better job singer her songs, but I guess she wants to sell her product herself.

I can agree that she's quite talented, certainly not my style of music, of course.

And she's a horse face.

I don't see her great songwriting ability. It seems like every one of her songs is about the same thing.

I can only speak for her first album in which either wrote or co-wrote every song, but on it the songs not released varied in subject and style quite a bit. I mean 80% of all country songs are either falling in love or losing love. You can't say she only sings about love songs, when that's what just about everyone sings about in country. She mixed it up quite well and the songwriting was very different than the same old "I'm country" stuff you hear from so many current country acts. I'm not a big fan of hers personally, but she has her own appeal to many fans. If I'm not mistaken, she sold more albums last year than any other artist in any genre.

I'm going to see Uncle Kracker, Billy Currington, and Kenny Chesney in concert on Thursday in Cincinnati... pretty excited

Every one of her songs is either: "My boyfriend cheated on me, now I'm gonna get payback" or "There's this cute boy in school I like and now I'm gonna dream about him even though he likes another girl." There's nothing creative about her songwriting.

Regardless, I think we can agree she's not Country music.

Kenny has some fairly good songs, he is annoying as hell though. As an entertainer I would think he'd be pretty good.
