Country music thread

The new Toby tune is pretty good. Sounds like the Toby of old.

Finally heard this today and I'm not able to agree. It was the throw every cliché out there that right wing rednecks love to hear, throw in an electric guitar and of course you gotta throw love to 'Merica Toby Keith that sold out years ago from the first album Toby.

I grew up a Toby fan, so that's probably some it. I'm very patriotic as well. And well, I guess I'm a redneck lol

Been listening to a lot of both of these here lately, and I have to ask, George strait or Chris ledoux? I'd have to pick Chris. His music just speaks to me lol love "county fair." It's a hard choice. Though.

Powder River Home or Cadillac Cowboy is probably my favorite Chris song, was lucky enough to see him several times, his first concert back from being sick at Colorado State Fair was really cool, and of course Cheyenne. Definitely a better experience at a rodeo than in a music hall.

Hastings is shutting down, so decided to take advantage of their sale, got brooks and Dunn "the greatest hits.", George strait "live from the Astrodome." And Charlie Daniels "hits from the south." For 14 bucks. Pretty decent deal. If you have one near you, I'd recommend going before everything sells out.

Really like this song from randy Montana called "put me in a box." It's apparently going to be o. Justin moore's new cd as well. Can't wait to hear his version.

So I owned Underdog, but after hearing this, I went ahead and bought "Real Good Time". Love his covers of Cadillac Cowboy and Leather and Lace, and the rest of the album may have bro country-ish lyrics, he proves how easy it is to write those lyrics without douchiness, holey jeans, six packs and truck beds in every line. AND you can still get the whine of steel guitar and the easy sound of that fiddle.

He's quite a talent, as you said he does lots of stuff without putting on a big show of it. Raise Your Bottle was a pretty good job of a military tribute without all the " 'Murica in your face woo hoo" stuff.
