Country music thread

He's quite a talent, as you said he does lots of stuff without putting on a big show of it. Raise Your Bottle was a pretty good job of a military tribute without all the " 'Murica in your face woo hoo" stuff.

I actually felt the same way about Raise Your Bottle. It seems actually sincere. Big fan of Bluebonnets.

As for my favorites, it's gotta be PG, Charlie Robison and Randy Rogers.

Adam Carroll deserves much more attention than he gets, but I think he's legitimately happy driving around the country playing in people's yards. Seems like a cool cat.

Randomly picked 'Galveston Bay' to listen to, impressive.

Didn't know a thing about him when one of his songs randomly came across one on my streaming services so I pulled up his whole album and really liked most of it.

After that I went to look him up and saw what he looked like and was glad I heard him first, probably would've brushed him off if I'd seen a picture beforehand. Never would have expected good song writing from a kid who looks like he's straight out of central casting of frat boy from Austin.

So you've converted me TP. Well, you led me in the right direction. Finally listened to Good Time from start to finish. Anyone that sings a song with John Anderson gets my ultimate stamp of approval. The song might be a total goofball song, but John Anderson is still an all time fave.

Hillbilly Hollywood is a top five song for me.

HH is a good song, I'd forgotten all about it. My grandpa use to sing that song all the time.

Going to see Jamey Johnson in 10 days. Pretty excited. Then I'm going to see Josh Thompson w/ Ray Scott on sept 23rd.

A bar I frequented downrange in the ROK played Black Sheep and Seminole Wind nightly, fun times. Anderson doesn't get his deserved amount of attention.

Him doing Seminole Wind live with Big and Rich is one of my favorite videos.

And can I get a Hey Y'all

cool story bro moment, but I was in a hurry leaving the MLB (Minor League for me) Winter Meetings in Vegas one year and I don't know why John Rich was in such a hurry, but we almost plowed into each other as I running out of the lobby. I just smiled, and ran to catch my shuttle to the airport.

Anyways, John Anderson, Alan Jackson, Tracy Lawrence and Doug Stone's work in the early 90s made me a country fan. Seminole Wind was one of the first five albums I ever bought.

Also, while songs like Save a Horse are fodder, 8th of November is a song I truly believe was meant as pure tribute and done to educate the masses instead of just a 'murica, let's make money song.

It's overly produced, fake and heavily generic, but it's not top ten worst song of the year. Might still be Bryan's best song ever.

His early stuff was actually ok. "All my friends say." Was a funny song, but my favorite of his/hers (lol) is muckalee creek, and you don't know jack. They're both "ok." Songs.
