Country music thread

Thoughts on Cadillac three?

I'm a fan. Their lead singer, Jaren Johnston, is a friend of a friend so I've kept up some with what he does. He's written a couple songs for some top country artists, and his previous band, American Bang, was really good too if you like southern rock.

I like their previous albums, the new one seems kinda rushed, and not too many songs that stick with you. It's ok, I guess. Could be worse. Lol

Also, I'm starting to get into vinyl records as a hobby/collection thing. I have 3 right now: strait from the heart, rowdy by hank jr, and storms of life randy Travis. Any recommendations as far as vinyl records?

Everything sounds better on vinyl. Even banjo although analog can't pick up serious picking.

Yes, Colter Wall is really good.

If you like him check out guys like Cody Jinks, Tyler Childers, BJ Barham, and Brent Cobb.

Love Cody, Tyler, and Brent. Never heard of barham though. I'll have to check him out.

For me, he's the best songwriter of that group which is saying a whole hell of a lot because the rest are damn good too.

He has one solo album that came out earlier this year that I really liked and he is also the lead singer for a band out of NC called American Aquarium that has about 6 or 7 albums now that you can look into if you find you like him/them.

Sounds like you already know a fair amount of what I might recommend but I'll add Caleb Caudle and Nick Dittmeier also, those are two that I don't find many people are familiar with.

I've heard of caudle, but never gotten around to listening.

If you enjoy country music, please be sure to tune in Tuesday night to Great American Country at 8p for Dolly Parton's telethon for the Great Smoky Mountains.
The list of people joining her is pretty outstanding. It will be on from 8-11p and will then re-air immediately after.
Dolly, Reba, Kenny Rogers, Alison Krauss, Chris Stapleton, Big and Rich, Amy Grant, Montgomery Gentry, etc.

Loretta is playing out in pigeon forge. I would love to see her perform again. My favorite country artist and one of my favorite musicians in any genre.

I had tickets to see her, but she had to reschedule and I couldn't go. It sucked. Hopefully, god willing, she can come back next year.

Did my good deed for the day. While looking at walmart, I just happened to walk by the music section, saw Kane brown sitting there, I took a couple of hank Jr cd's and put them in front of them.
