Country music thread

Wish that dude would ever venture outside the state of Kentucky, or at least more than just a couple hours outside of it. On top of that, I wish he would make a new album also.

Lol, I can practically see him almost every week. He's always playing around here.

Another screaming electric guitar ballad about a guy that can't do ish all because he met a girl bro country song. Yea Dallas, I'll get right on it.

Along that line, I had the pleasure of hearing an entire Sam Hunt song while waiting at the parts counter at Napa today. They might have lost a customer.

That's one song of his. Listen to another one of his songs. "Used to you" he's one of the good ones. It's not serious, and he does not have the talent of say Jason jsbell, but he'll make you tap your boots. Give him a chance.

Also, ftr, only Little Big Town's new album topped Watson's Vaquero on the Billboard charts the week it debuted. The craziest part of the Billboard charts? Chris Stapleton still regularly tops the charts if no other big name is releasing an album. That's absurd and embarrassing for country honestly.

Sad news from one of the all time great bands.

Jeff Cook, one-third of Country Music Hall of Fame group Alabama, has Parkinson’s disease, a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement and causes tremors.

I noticed that during Dolly's Smoky Mountain special. He was definitely off. So sad to hear

That is literally (hate using that word but feels appropriate here) the exact opposite of the type of Country music that Cody sings.

I know I've said this to you before and it's said in astonishment, not judgement, but I have no idea how you like some of the stuff you do like Cody and then also like something like whatever that was you linked. Redneck cliches, pop music with a fiddle so it can be called country, and a guy with an accent but who can't really sing.

Silver lining to this whole situation though is that I'm now listening to Cody and just discovered he's playing a show near me soon, so thanks for that Dallas!

Sam Riggs is a good one. Like I said, i like to have fun sometimes. He's 100x better than most of what I hear on the radio. No doubt that he can't hold a candle to Cody, though.
