Country music thread

I had em all mixed up at his concert, I'm looking to go to his concert in Mashville June 7th. Dude is going to be super busy touring U.K. And Europe, and another 15 shows here ! I don't know how they do it!

It's like getting in a time machine seeing him, a blast from the past.

The new Stapleton album is good. Gone through it three times now. Definitely even more of a blues influence than Traveller. It sounds more polished, the lyrics are solid and still light years better than anything on radio, so what I'm about to say needs taken with a grain of salt: Add everything up and this album lacks the raw feel and deep emotion of Traveller. Still worth the purchase and will get lots of play from me. I really do hate that I think only one song gets a steel guitar in it though.

Cody Jinks has a great steel guitar artist, In "Wish you were here" it is sweet.

Anyone here a fan of The Dead South? I picked them up from Colter Walls "Johnny Boys Bones" pretty good twist on folk music. Not for children. "In Hell I'll be in Good Company" is great

Any of you who do podcasts and bother checking into this thread should look into WB Walker's Old Soul Radio, if you haven't already.

My iTunes downloaded Colter Wall Thursday night at 11 pm central, got to listen to it for the last half of my work night. Great Album!

Bruce Robison is quite ill with Typhus and pneumonia, Oregon Trail diseases. Hoping for a speedy recovery, he's every bit as talented as his brother, just a bit more low key.

Garth did surprise set last night at Nissan/CMA Fest. Pretty awesome.

Chris Jansen on Chevy River stage in the afternoon was fun. He has gained a ton of confidence and was totally different stage presence than when I saw him in March of '16. I think he's gonna go big.

That new fix a drunk song is awful lol

I hate when I get into a cd store and spend 30 dollars more than I was going to. Well worth it though

Any time Dalton Domino plays at a 21+ venue he's going to play a 10 song crowd choice acoustic set outside for people who can't get in.

Cool stuff.
