I said it before him. We will best Bama! It will be funny that in spite of the ratings, we will have better corners. There is concern about qb with nick saying a 2 qb system is possible. Their oline is very questionable just like ours. They have nobody coming off the edge that strikes fear unless a freshman emerges. They have great rbs and wrs. Their is concern about their overall defensive speed matching up with teams that spread it out. A new day is dawning people! We are going to shock the world in Knoxville!

We will get destroyed at the LOS. Their day is coming, but it's not this year.

This means exactly diddly squat Bama dude. Blake sims will cough it up in neyland. Those ratings are fools hold. Those lofty recruit ratings are fools gold. You have no qb, oline fair, no rush ends, suspect corners, overall d speed is slower. You are going down Bama dude. Nick has won his last title. Hired a dumbass for an offensive coach. Ask al Davis! These vol fans want to continue to kiss your backside? They can.....I hate you guys.

Tell him how you really feel:)

I just don't want to hear anymore "red team" stuff this year. I want our players to know its bama and be confident in believing we can beat them, regardless of what fans and media say. If we lose, so be it.....but no more tails tucked. Go Vols! Buck Bama and Florida too!

I wish Beattie's massive "experience" would make him a little more consistent. First he protests that expecting Jones to win 6 this year was asking too much. Now... he predicts UT will beat Bama?

Newsflash. If UT beats Bama... it is all but certain that they win more than 6 games.

It would be awesome if we can even hang with Bama and keep it close. Were going to beat Bama again but not this yr.

We beat Carolina last year and had n business beating a far superior team.

Why don't you just give this one up? USCe was NOT a far superior team. It was a very good match up for UT's roster last fall then the staff did a great job of preparation.

I'm not ready to concede this game yet, not saying we win but for the first time in a while we have and are beginning to get the talent to be in the game at the end

We have a few things going for us in this game.

1.) Worst Alabama team on paper since 2007.

Yes, they are still more talented than us. Yes, their youth is different than our youth since they have the luxury of redshirting. However, on paper this is the weakest Alabama team in 8 years.

2.) Home field advantage AKA "The Kiffin Effect"

If we have a decent September Neyland Stadium will be rowdier than Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night when Mr. Kiffin returns. I expect some arrests and more than a few curse words hurled. I'm going to try to make it to Knoxville for this one. It'll be something to see.

3.) An inexperienced QB will have to deal with that Kiffin crowd.

Whoever is starting for Alabama is going to have a tough time dealing with the crazy that will be Neyland Stadium on this night.

We could definitely win this game.

I don't think I'll bet on this game, but I am with you 100%

Can we ask Pat Haden instead. Al Davis is dead.

I would have to disagree with your first argument. Bama has had the top recruiting classes for the last 5 years, how does that equate to the worst Bama team "on paper" since 2007?

While I truly despise their fans, head coach and especially their OC, they have us outmatched at every position.

On paper they should beat us, but this is football and the reason we watch the games every week is because anything can happen.

Go Vols!

Because its ludicrous to believe that a team like ours can even compete with a team like Alabama.

Its like Vandy fans use to be towards UT every year for 30 years

How long have you been watching football? Upsets happen every year. Im guessing you probably were saying the same thing in 09. Lets just hope our players have more hope and fight than you do

If we're good enough to beat Bama then why are you settling for 7-5 or 8-4?

That's what I was thinking. Why just Bama? If you're good enough to beat Bama, you're good enough to beat anybody on your schedule. Why not go ahead and predict a perfect season? :ermm:

By the time we get to Bama, we will have at least one major injury. Our freshman will be beaten. Both lines worn down. Jones has probably switched QBs 2 or 3 times. Our D will have looked like swiss cheese in at least 3 games already

Yes, we gone whip dey azz

We're certainly good enough to beat UGA and their consistently underachieving head coach.

As far as Alabama is concerned - it's a rivalry game.

Anything can happen in a rivalry game. Especially one involving the two greatest southern powers of all time.

Yes, anything can happen

Losing by an average of 3 TDs the last 4 out of 5 games is what has happened

Come on Debbie Downer. We're not going to be any more beat up than anyone else. We'll always have a chance. We'll probably still get beat but I think we'll keep it competitive, especially since it's on our home turf.
