Crime Ridden Memphis

BREAKING: Eliza Fletchers 'killer' could face the DEATH PENALTY as he's charged with first-degree murder of billionaire heiress and is refused bail

He appeared at court in Memphis, Tennessee, charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and tampering with evidence with the judge refusing him bail.

Tennessee is a state with the death penalty, and prosecutors today said that they were not ruling it out if he is convicted.

Prosecutors would not confirm if he would be issued with any further charges, with the judge adjourning the hearing until tomorrow.

It is understood that the convict will be attempting to change his counsel before the arraignment.

Speaking after the hearing, Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy confirmed that the incident was ‘isolated’ and that Fletcher had never met her attacker before.

When asked whether Abston-Henderson should have been released early after spending 22 years in prison for kidnapping a lawyer, Mulroy said: ‘It’s easy to talk about things 20202 hindsight.

‘In this particular case clearly, he shouldn’t have been on the street. Our office opposed parole at the time and in hindsight the parole decision was a tragic one.

When asked by DailyMail.com if Fletcher was sexually assaulted, the DA refused to answer.

It comes after court documents reveal that he was previously convicted of raping a man when he was a teenager.

He was detained 16 times from October 1995 to May 2000 for rape, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.

According to Action News 5 his first charges were filed against him in June 1995, and that he was part of the ‘LMG’ gang – which stands for ‘Lemoyne Gardens Gangstas’.

Records show that Abston was accused of raping a man and was placed in the custody of Shelby County’s Youth Services Bureau.

Two weeks after he was released from his final spell at the SCYSB to his mother’s care, he was transferred to adult court for kidnapping lawyer Kemper Durand.

DA Mulroy added: ‘I’m not going to go into the juvenile court record for obvious reasons. We can go into the adult court record which shows a conviction for kidnapping.

Cleo Henderson, Abston’s father, is currently in prison for second-degree murder and is scheduled for release in 2044.

I think you are being disingenuous with the point he was making.

No I'm not.

Point 1 - Shopping centers are prone to criminals at all hours of the day

Point 2 - Women are majority of customers at Target

Point 3 - Cities with above average crime have crime at shopping centers

Point 4 - Memphis, Knox, Chattanooga, Nashville all have crime rates well above national average

Point 5 - A real man wouldn't let wife be put into that situation

Conclusion - A real man wouldn't let wife go to Target in any of those cities by that logic...

You are. He absolutely made it clear that he wasn't trying to control his wife as you make it seem. He basically said that his wife ruled the roost in his family. His point wasn't victim blaming either. You clearly are being obtuse.

He multiple times said he would not allow or would forbid it...

He said her husband is an idiot for allowing her to do that. 100% shaming

Absolutely would forbid it. A primary duty of a husband/father is to protect his wife/kids.

On the extreme end that means doing anything up to and including giving his own life to protect any of their lives.

On the day to day non dramatic issues in life it means stepping in when necessary to prevent such issues as what happened here, by merely making a reasonable decision. A woman should not be jogging alone, half naked, at night. That isn’t shaming, it is understanding the realities of life. Her husband absolutely screwed up here and I would imagine he would acknowledge it at this point.

Would you forbid her running 10 miles at 430 PM in the summer in Memphis. She would be far more likely to die from being hit as a pedestrian during rush hour traffic or heat stroke from 120 degree heat index than murdered

Nope. She can asses her health, traffic, etc. As a highly educated woman, these are pretty easy tasks for her to accomplish.

What she can’t do is fight off a grown man.

You can have your view. I have mine. If the guy in Memphis had mine then they would all be sitting down for supper tonight. Instead, he held yours.

Stop with your beta male driven victim blaming. Save it for your wife.

Another dunce.

Blaming. Shaming. Blah blah. I don’t want to learn!!!!

When someone takes a self defense or situational awareness training. They aren’t shaming or blaming all the victims that didn’t have said training. They are showing what was learned from those incidents and using it to educate people on what to do or not do, in order to prevent becoming a victim. It is taking experiences, learning from them, and using them to make better decisions.

Don't you guys realize what kind of deal you're getting? If she only wanted one pair of shoes, then she got a buy one get one free deal by buying 3 pairs, so they were half price.
You still falling for that crap. You should learn just smile and nod your head. Next time that AR goes on sale, tell her what a deal you got.

Let's say you let your wife go run with friends or at a different, safer time. Would you be OK if she wore the same outfit Liza wore?

Sure. Safety in numbers. Predators prefer their victims be alone.

This is like a smoke alarm in the house. You can never have one and it most likely will never cost you a life. But losing someone in a fire because you failed to utilize such a simple device is just stupid.

Same for swimming alone. Plenty of people get away with it. But to suffer the loss of a loved one from drowning because they were alone wreaks of poor decision making. A simple decision can prevent huge loss.
