Crime Ridden Memphis

It was to make the toy soldiers feel like Navy Seals. If I gave you ten dollars for every citizen that knew about the name I could still pay my bills. I doubt they were advertising it on the side of their unmarked HEMIS. It was poor judgement but would have never come to light if it weren’t for these knuckleheads. I’d be willing to bet that Knoxville has a similar “tactical. Unit equipped with military surplus. Atlanta absolutely does.
Even Boro does.. it’s kind of hush hush but there is a division that is drugs, violent crimes, etc and they are ripped and bad$$es.. not going to reveal how I know.. many ethnicities represented.. I know one and he is a good guy.. but if I were up to no good, I probably wouldn’t like him too well lol

True, but you have people basically saying that dude had it coming for running from a life threatening situation.

Did you watch the video?
I've already posted my thoughts on the situation Dink. This was aggravated assault that led to a death which means murder 2 unless it's personal then murder 1. Idk Tennessee murder statutes so there may or may not be a difference.

Just absolutely wild to me that some people see this man beaten to death and think “well that’s what people get for being too mean to the cops recently”

Nice strawman. I have not once approved of those cops behavior. In fact, I said the exact opposite. When you can't argue the merits, just make sh1t up.

Turn it down a notch just for a second.. the video was awful and I couldn’t watch it myself… my question is, why did he just not cooperate and let them cuff him? What they did is not justified by any means, but why someone would just not cooperate is mind boggling… as a woman if I am being pulled over I’m scared sh!tless and I’m all yes ma’am no sir for a speeding ticket and cry lol

Being pulled over as a white woman is an entirely different situation than being pulled over as a black man in a violent inner city, and being ripped from your car for asking "what did I do?"

I just don't think you can have a decent opinion if you can't at least watch the video.

Yes. And you have people dying to see an APD officer charged for shooting a drunk guy who reached for his gun and ran off with his Taser. And people celebrating a Minny cop going to jail for accidentally shooting someone who fled the scene of a traffic stop with the door open…..taking out her partner. So tell me how there’s not stupidly on both sides.

The standard is theoretically much higher when it is your job to protect and serve.

I don't want a typical run of the mill dumbass armed and policing the streets

I watched the video. It’s disgusting. Why don’t you google “Caroline Small” and get back to me about white women having nothing to fear.

I watched it until the end when he started making noises I was out, I just can’t stomach it,.. I just wonder if he had just let them cuff him, got to the station and got representation, it would have all gone differently. thank you for not being a butt to me lol

1 spent 45 minutes on camera trying to de escalate the situation. The other was a decorated officer with a 20 plus year spotless record. Try again.

I'd say true in most cases. This dudes beat down wasn't any worse the the ones I mentioned. Maybe he just had weak bones and internal organs? King took a lickin and kept on ticking (for a while). The Thomas dude straight endured a massive, massive beatdown before dying.

Full disclosure, unless I missed something or watched a heavily edited video, this dude got punched a few times and was on the receiving end of pepper spray and a baton. Seemed to be over pretty quick.
I thought I saw a couple of Ray Guys to the head. Figured he could not survive them.

My step FIL who passed before BLM, was black and he didn’t really like when groups spoke for him, it made him mad lol.. I don’t think he would’ve liked BLM, but I’m just guessing
BLM likely has close to a majority of support in the black community, but not close to the near unanimous support that the media would portray. Its overstated support, especially below blacks younger than Gen-X.

Didn't they have him cuffed and then stood him up to beat him? Wasn't he cuffed when denied medical help? I watched the video and I thought I heard one officer (as they were standing around after) sask the others " ok, what are you going to say?". I may have misheard and will have to go watch it again to make sure. I lived in the twin cities during the chauvin incident and worked just 2 blocks from all the riots. All I'm saying is, in both incidents, they did not stop after having them cuffed and subdued. That's where I have the problem.......

Yeah, he would be in his 70s now, he was more of the MLK message, but we generally had other things to talk about… funny aside: my kids did not realize that he was not their biological grandfather until about first grade, then they had some questions 😂 we weren’t trying to make a big lesson of it or anything, it just didn’t seem right to bring it up when he loved them so much and had been around them since they were born lol

BLM had more to do with this man's death than white supremacy. It is BLM and it's supporters who have, over the last 5-8 years (whenever hands up dont shoot happened), created conditions that have caused a lot of good cops on the force to retire and find a new field of employment. What those good cops are being replaced with are cops like you saw in the Memphis video, who should have never been given a badge.
Meh, that is half true. BLM are scumbags. But these liberal policies (admittedly heavily supported by black democrats) that break up the family and cause there to be a need for more cops and more of these special units in inner cities is the main driver. Remove the incentives for single mothers to prosper, and you remove the need to have an ever expanding police state in these cities. Then, there will be no need to expand your hiring pool and take in Project Pat and what not.
