5-year-old Killed in Parkway Village Shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department responded to a shooting in Parkway Village on Wednesday night.

A 5-year-old boy was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition the night of the shooting.

MPD says the child did not survive.

Yeah so the more I'm reading it seems like these were some bad cops that took things too far. One of the officers had gotten in trouble for failing to write a report on a use of force incident that dislocated a woman's shoulder. Also the same STING group apparently beat up another man a couple months ago.

The bail program will not always be cashless; instead, the bail will be based on a person’s ability to pay, set by judicial commissioners.

Being released without paying a bond would be another option allowing offenders to be released on their own recognizance.

A helicopter is up above Wolfchase Mall - searching for suspect. Mall employees say the shooting happened on upper level of the galleria. They heard 10-12 shots.
