Critical race theory and elections

Don't forget, he votes for your kids' curriculum too.

Kind of typifies the word salad resentment cauldron of the right these days. Virginians voting Republican because they are worried about critical race theory when it isn't even taught there.

But they hear that and get freaked and word salad comes out.

So a student brought it up, actually 2 students and it goes before the school board?

Got this from one of my friends who lives in the district. Kid came home and told his mom they were talking about Ted Bundy in class. Mom doesn't bother contacting the teacher or school, goes straight to the top.

There was a case in Texas years back where a group of parents demanded that a science textbook be unadopted and removed from usage because it disparaged creationism. Turns out that system didn't even use the book in question.

I can go on with personal experiences too. There are many wonderful, helpful, involved parents who make teachers' days much easier, and those parents don't get the credit they deserve. Then there's the few who just throw tantrums and go straight to the top without all the info.

Maybe they aren't thrilled with what they see the Dems doing to kowtow to the extreme of the party. Maybe it's that you all once again grossly overplayed your hand believed the moderates in this country shared the extreme world view. Maybe you all were dumb enough to not see that the last election was solely a referendum on Trump and not the GOP. If it were on the GOP you would have destroyed the GOP. Maybe they find it grossly hypocritical the way the left claims they are for social justice and minorities but let Gov Black face hang out. Maybe they think vaccine mandates are wrong. Especially after Biden and Pelosi said it wouldn't happen. Maybe they hate the dumb idea championed by the losing candidate that parents should have no input on what happens in the classroom. Side note: How is this not considered the dumbest thing any candidate has ever said? And you are surprised he lost?

We've encountered plenty of misspellings by all walks of education. Doctors are unable to write their own name in a legible manner. Get off the high horse. There are plenty of worthless complaints and plenty of worthy ones.

Tell me, and be precise, what has the mainstream Dem party done or is contemplating in Congress now that "kowtows" to the extreme left?

I mean, I agree that Biden should tell them to stfu. But in terms of actual policy with a serious chance of passing and being signed, what SPECIFICALLY are you talking about?

Someone has been visiting MSNBC to get his liberal talking points.
"It isn't taught there" is the excuse/talking point, when the vote was explicitly to prevent it from being taught here by an administration that believes parents have NO SAY in what their kids are taught.

I love love love the stupidity of the left. Keep on chugging along.

Exaggerate much ?

I wasn't focusing on the spelling. Look at the malformed thought process surrounding the pledge of allegiance.

They tried to negotiate a $3.5 trillion dollar spending plan. That's what the admin and the leadership wanted. Luckily some of your moderates told you to pound sand.

As to vaccine mandates, people still have a choice. You guy are all for pointing out workers have no or limited rights when it's a worker making a claim you don't like. Now all of a sudden there's a problem?

And on top of that it seems a lot of compromise about taking tests routinely is becoming an alternative.

As to the second infrastructure bill I agree that 3.5 was too much and had parts that were ill advised. But it's a negotiation. They are way down now.

I did hear there is something getting back in. Some kind of family leave, which I have mixed feelings about.

But what is seriously on the table isn't nearly as calamitous as you make it seem.

You’re right. There is no calamity from the last 9 months. A mirage. Keep espousing that. 12 months from now you’ll be on your knees sobbing.

My problem is with Gov mandates.
If you propose $3.5 trillion dollars of **** legislation don't be mad when the electorate says no thanks Bc they think you are dangerous. Bc you are dangerous at that point. If more elected officials agreed with them then it would have passed and we would be stuck with the whole damn thing. Or even worse. Perhaps Bernie's $6 trillion dollar wet dream.

I see you watched the news yesterday. That was the MSM's main message they all spewed.....denying that CRT is being taught.

Teachers being forced to go to BS diversity trainings where the only things taught are White-= Bad and Non-White= Oppressed (unless you're Asian then you're lumped in with the evil white people) may not be CRT by the exact definition but people are getting sick of it. 6-7 year old kids don't need to come home crying because they happen to be white.

I appreciate his desire for transparency and sharing his experiences. I hope he follows up with specific examples, including lessons and assignments. It may also help if he gave parents directions on how to look rather than just generalizing.

If he gives specific examples he will be cancelled out.

Nope, not real. Some racist white supremacist made this up. Fake news. Ignorant whites voted against a bunch of old ass white people and an inexperienced AG choice in favor of a diverse leadership in Virginia because of white supremacy. Racists everywhere. As a self-identified transblack I fear for my life every day. ACAB.
