Crompton is a go for sat

Nothing, you're the one fixated on the score of last week's game.

I understand though, you're an unbiased homer and Arkansas has the best offense and defense in the country. You could at the very least come out and admit it.

Another translation: We scored 24 on LSU, so we should easily hang 40 on you all with the RS QB and everything.

They're not a #1 defense in anything maybe?

No we aren't. But that doesn't mean that they don't step up and play a better game this week than LSU did last week. Stats don't mean everything. LSU did enough to win and maybe we can do enough to win.

Yeah I have heard of your running backs but you are gonna need more than them to beat UT

Not true OWB, Tennessee lost to LSU so that means Arkansas' defense is better than LSU's. UT should consider it a victory to even sniff a field goal Saturday evening.

FTR, that poor ol' RS freshman playing his first real game against the #1 defense in the country threw as well as any other QB has against them... More scores and yardage than Leak or Cox... the pre-season picks to be All SEC.

We don't know about him yet. He might be exposed against Arkansas. He might freeze under the pressure... OTOH, he might light Arkansas up.

I haven't been around much since the game so I probably missed the discussion but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him run over LSU's db.

Never said that our defense was better than LSU's. But you cannot compare our D to LSU's when you haven't played us yet. If we hold you to 10 points does that mean our defense is better than LSU's because we held you to less points? You can't really compare because every game is different.

And what does this have to do with the Hog D?
Well let's connect the dots for you... LSU has a better D than Arkansas... UT's back up QB put 17 points up against LSU his first time out. He has now been getting the #1 prep before the game with Arkansas under Cutcliffe so we can expect him to improve.

The possibility exists that he will play very well against you based on this logical analysis.

History doesn't bode well for Arky to step up and play a great game against UT. UT 12-2 all time, Fulmer 9-1 against Arky, Nutt 1-4 against UT, UT 3-0 against Arky when they are in the top 25

He hasn't started a game period. But....he is a gamer and a fierce competitor. I expect him to lower the boom on an Arky defender early in the game just to shake the jitters.

All smack aside, I'm not sure how terribly smart that would be.

Every team Arkansas has played to date, including, Auburn - whom has played LSU - and SC, has said Arkansas hits harder than anyone they've faced all seaon. If Crompton tries to take on the Arkansas D head-on, he will get rocked.

See above post. You cannot realistically say that since he played well against LSU that he is going to play well against us. Every game is different.

Well in that case, nobody should be saying anything about this game. It goes both ways.

i'm sure most people probably would have thought he got rocked by the LSU D as well--but he didn't, he ran right over the guy:rock:

Yet you continue to shoot your entire wad over the Auburn game. Awesome!

LSU's defense in Neyland was a harder test for Crompton than the Hogs' defense on the road. That's how much better LSU's defense is than Arkansas's.

Excuse me. :hmm: Did I miss a football game? Could you please provide a link giving these stats?

When did this happen?

That should tell you something about your home crowd.

Does the "point" even make it to your brains there in Fayetteville?

The point is that LSU's defense is incredible and your Hogs' defense is ... average.
