Tebow is a lot of things, but humble ain't one of them.

I'm cool with that. There are no humble great athletes.

Keep singing his praises. You do realize he's probably coming back again to terrorize us and the rest of college football for one more year. I'm personally sick of him and wish he'd move on. I doubt we get that lucky though.

I've heard enough about Tebow's saintliness to last me several lifetimes.

Hey, I'm not the one holding him to a holier than thou standard. I think he is classy off the field, but his antics on the field are far from humble.

A little excitement is expected. He just won the National Championship. Look: I hate Florida as much, or more, than the rest of us. . . .but I can't hate Tebow. Is it really unjustified to thank him for being a class act amongst a group of generally selfish, showboating college athletes?

He get his degree aleady? I'd like to see him out of the SEC and under center for the Chiefs. With him I dont see him leaving early unless he has his skin. He is a man of character from what I see.

i would have to say the main reason he had the opportunity to do mission work over seas was beacuse his family had direct access to do so. not many have the means to do that. as for tebag, i will never have my head up his anus like most of the sports world. yes he is a good player, but if he was really humble imo he could have said that the rest of his team was just as responsible for their success. i don't think they should put him on a pedestal and give him awards before looking at all of the other great individuals who play the game. he is not the only guy who does good things in his free time. go preach all you want tebag, but i could care less what he has to say.

I don't hate Tebow either. I just think he acts like a four year old on the field sometimes which is the opposite of humility.

I hope Tim Teblow goes to the NFL and gets raped by every defensive linemen in the league.
Tebow has a slow delivery compared to most NFL QBs. If he put on a few pounds he'd make a great TE for some of the pass heavy teams in the NFL.

I thought I just heard him give credit to his team, his faith, and the fans. Yeah, he's all about TT ....

This is an absolutely ridiculous post.

First, you don't need family privilege to do mission work.

Second, he took responsibility for the Ole Miss loss and said that he would work harder than anyone to atone.

Third, everytime I hear him speak, he deflects praise to his team and gives thanks for his faith.

You can hate him for the occasional on-the-field antics, but if you've ever played even a pick-up game of ball, you know that we all do that stuff.

Heaven forbid a UT QB saying "go vols" after winning a NCG.

true he just said that in the post game but i never heard that when he was accepting all this praise all year last year and this year. not that the disney spirit award is all that important, but there were many individuals who should have been given some love instead of tebow. it just makes me mad that everyone else is lower than him. if i were him i would have said the same thing because it is the traditional i just won and you didn't speech that we have heard a million times.

With the primary off-the-field news concerning athletes being drug charges, DUIs, steroid use, and gun crimes, Tebow is a great kid.

Thats what I'm talking about. Hell of a competitor and has his priorities straight. If he gets killed on the next level, he'll have plenty of options in the real world. Gator hater here but you cant hate the player nor the man. Unless you are just a hater to be a hater.

He's been saying things like that all year long. All career long.

i have in fact played the game all my life but never made it to the college game, but what i was getting at was he had easy direct access to that area of the world to do such said work. it is easy to speak praise of your team, but i can probably guarantee that the entire florida team wasn't at urban's table on a regular basis. maybe they were, but he was still elevated above the rest of his team and i don't agree with that. you may not like my post, but that is how i feel as a former athlete. i played on the same team as gerald riggs and he was put up on a pedestal just like tebow and i didn't like it then and i don't like to see that now. he was not the only reason the team was successful when he was there and tebow in no way is the only reason why the gators are successful. as for the mission work i don't have the time or financial means to go around the world, so all i was saying was that he had an easy way that made it more conveniant.
