Culinary, Arts, Thread.

I went to Mediterranean diet or my version of it. Just not much fried. We did air fry some fries last night. It does a damn good job.
Just the way you said you don't eat fried food so you don't use the air fryer much except for the pressure cooker. It's a little convection oven. I use mine for errrrrrrthang and I don't eat fried food either. Lol.

Got my Chilean olive oil yesterday and the Fratelli Carli is supposed to be here tomorrow. It's shipped with LazerShip. Never heard of them but after a little research I found out they are the ones that had trouble with their drivers. Their tracking sucks but if it gets here tomorrow undamaged I'll be happy.

Tl;Dr....tifwiw

The website and the guy Robert I spoke to on the phone says this oil was harvested in November of 20. That's excellent if true. The bottles only have a Best buy date.

The experts say if it burns/tingles the top back part of your throat that it's sign it's a quality oil with a high polyphenol count, which is important. It did.

It is without question the best non expensive $8 a bottle) olive oil taste wise that I can remember tasting.

Robert, the website and COOC Calif. Olive Oil Council all say it's less than .3% acidity. That's excellent even for an expensive bottle.

My gut is the only thing keeping me from trusting it. For reasons I don't have, I don't trust it. Too good to be true type thing.

I can't find anything negative about it. Even TripAdvisor gave the Fratelli Carli museum in Italy great reviews. Cheftalk.com had a thread about it but had nothing to say about it good or bad. Lol, last post was 2014. That's why I stopped posting there.

Anyway, that's all I got.

Was reading the "about us" page on an Italian family owned and operated olive farm in California, the oldest in California. It explained how many trees and the irrigation etc. then it got to pest control. .....

Pest Management
They do not use any synthetic pesticides. The only pests the Sciabicas have to contend with are squirrels and rattlesnakes that they control with a 22-caliber rifle. Olives are naturally resistant to disease—they mature at 100 years and can actively produce for over 2,000 years!

I've been reading that the US, Australia and Chilean produced olive oil is the safest bet to get the best quality authentic olive oil right now. Obviously there are good reputable oils from other countries, just that it's getting more common to cut corners for many trying to make a buck.

I haven't heard of them, looking forward to what you think about them.
Said they were harvested in October 20 and the color in the picture is on point. The 7 estate one is like their signature oil, it's made with 7 different types of olives all from a certain hillside on the farm. Its gonna be cool if they're really good.
