My dad is picking fresh lettuce and onions from the garden. Mom is gonna cook bacon and crumble it over the lettuce and onions, then piur the bacon grease on. Anybody else ever do that? It's so good.

One of the best things invented ever. I look forward to making it every year from fresh grown lettuce and green onions

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've never had it. I don't think I'd love it though...

The version of it I've made isn't as bad as it seems like it would be, it's basically sawmill gravy without milk. But, it's not eaten on biscuits or country fried steak, it's eaten on salad, soooo I don't really care for it.
