Seattle High Schooler Marked Incorrect On Quiz For Saying Only Women Can Get Pregnant: Report​


A Seattle high schooler was marked incorrect on a history quiz when he stated that only women can get pregnant, according to a report.

The 10th-grade student at Chief Sealth International High School reportedly failed the true-false quiz titled “Understanding Gender vs. Sex” in his Ethnic Studies World History class, his mother told the conservative radio show The Jason Rantz Show Sunday.


The student labeled two statements “true” — The first that “All men have penises” and the second that “Only women can get pregnant.” He was marked incorrect for both and failed the “knowledge check” quiz as a result, said his mother, who asked to be anonymous so that her son doesn’t get penalized.

Newly sworn-in mayor of Akron, Ohio, Shammas Malik, designated three new Cabinet officials including a director of diversity, equity, and inclusion and a newly-created director of sustainability and resiliency.

According to his office, Esther Thomas will serve as Malik's director of DEI, Casey Shevlin will be the director of the new climate-focused office, and Stephanie Marsh will join as Malik's director of communications. The group joins chief of staff Brittany Grimes Zaehringer and chief of strategy Nanette Pitt, both of whom were appointed in mid-December, in Malik's Cabinet.

Boston hospital to scale back on child abuse and neglect reports that can perpetuate 'structural racism'​

'Black pregnant people are more likely to be drug tested and to be reported to child welfare systems than white pregnant people,' Mass General Brigham said​

A Boston, Massachusetts, hospital announced Tuesday that after finding Black mothers were more likely to be reported for child abuse and neglect if a toxicology report came back positive, it would be taking steps to reevaluate the process in order to avoid perpetuating "structural racism."

"Black pregnant people are more likely to be drug tested and to be reported to child welfare systems than white pregnant people," said Mass General Brigham, a nonprofit health care system.

"As a part of our United Against Racism effort to achieve health equity for patients and communities across our system, we… are addressing policies that may unwittingly perpetuate structural racism," Mass General stated.

Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) has filed a federal lawsuit against the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Education and its Secretary Miguel Cardona over a scholarship and career advancement program the organization says discriminates against Americans based of race.

“The Biden-Harris Administration runs a $60 million, nationwide scholarship and career-advancement program called the McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program,” YAF’s complaint, filed with the University of North Dakota’s Young Americans for Freedom Chapter and two YAF students, explains.

The program “excludes many students because of their race,” the suit continues, adding that the defendants “impose mandatory race-based eligibility requirements” as part of the program.
