As long as we host and a 9-3 bama team don’t sneak in, all is good in the world
Really, I like this outcome! Bama dropped 5 spots after getting blown out by OU last week. I don’t think Miami drops more than 5 spots, probably will drop 3-4 after a close loss to a good Syracuse team.

Good news is that all of Vol Nation can just chill for awhile and let all this play out.
The Big Orange took care of business today and everything points to being in the playoffs and likely hosting.
I believe I’ll have a little bit of apple pie shine to celebrate on this cold fall night.

A&M beats Texas, UGA wins SECCG.
Oregon blasts Penn State in the B1G championship.
1. Ducks
2. UGA
3. SMU
4. Boise
5. ND
6. UT
7. OSU
8. Indiana
9. Penn State
10. Texas
11. ASU
12. South Cackalacky
I can agree with most of this except Bama will get in over the Gamecocks by virtue of the head-to-head win and more quality wins. I also think if Texas loses tonight they may fall out completely.

Gamecocks blew out two teams that beat Bama tho…
I know, but Bama has the head to head win plus they have a higher FPI ranking (4th vs 16th). The SOR (13th vs 14th) and SOS (15th vs 16th) are also in their favor, albeit barely. They’ll get in over the Cocks - numbers don’t lie.

I think Clemson winning the ACC causes some heartburn for the 3 loss trio in Bama, Ole Miss, and USC. Because Clemson would steal a spot and I'm not sure how Miami can be 10-2 and be ranked below Bama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina....
I think what Tuesday looks like is this:

12- Miami (First Team out line)
13- Bama (Second team out line)
14- South Carolina
15-Ole Miss
16- Clemson

Georgia ain't staying at the 7 line. They will be the 2 seed.

Miami is gonna wind up sneaking in I feel. I honestly would not be shocked if the ACC wound up getting 3 teams in with Clemson winning the ACC.

I think Miami will be the #12 seed at best. ASU is red hot and will pass them in the rankings.

I agree, assuming they beat TX or A&M next week. Obviously, USA is projecting TX winning tonight and next week.

I also think ACC getting 3 teams in is very likely IF Clemson beats SMU. The one thing I like-is most projections I’ve seen after the iron bowl still have the gumps with less than 25% chance to make the playoffs. Most are saying Miami is in before the gumps and some are even suggesting ASU in before the gumps. Looks like the SEC will get 3 teams in regardless of the SEC championship game results (assuming that is GA vs. TX next week).
