Cleveland Caucasian shirt worn by Bomani Jones. Stephen A Smith blaming women for domestic violence and also making a comment about the women's national soccer team. Etc. He's still employed.
These were done ON AIR. Not privately
He's still employed and it was done on air. Schilling was on his private Facebook. Thats my point on that one
Schilling has had multiple warnings about his public statements. This wasn't a one-time deal. And as I said earlier, if you work for a media giant, there is no such thing as speaking only for yourself. Any statement you make is going to reflect on your employer, for good or for ill.
Screaming that if you don't support wars and military action blindly that you hate America....yes that's a conservative thing. And that is most certainly making patriotism political.

I don't think anyone disagrees with you, our point is the only reason he got fired is because he took a more right winged position on this issue, and none of their liberal hosts get fired for making left wing statements.
That's total BS. Few say that crap and you know it. What you hear is support the troops even if you disagree with the conflict as they simply follow orders. Why in the hell do you think military members vote overwhelmingly conservative?
Schilling was hired by ESPN to report on sports, nothing more. He crossed the line imo and should have just get those things to himself. We all have jobs here. Therefore, I think we all understand that while we have the freedom to say certain things it is in our best interest to not. And this goes for others on the network too, not just Schilling. Others on the network should face consequences for taking political sides publicly.
Can you specify?
He got fired because it's bad for ESPN's image. It's a business decision.
First one that comes to mind is after Hurricane Katrina one of the morons on sports reporters on sunday mornings said something about what he perceived as Bush's lack of a response. Can't recall the exact quote but it was negative towards Bush, but that was a popular opinion at ESPN I'm sure so it was fine.
He got fired for being a conservative and making a political statement that the far left loons at ESPN don't agree with
And that's the hypocrisy of it that I think makes so many mad. They treat one side different than the others.
LOL....the hell it's BS. Limbaugh, Hannity, and pretty much every right wing host went off on anyone who didn't support the war as unpatriotic. And don't go with that "support the troops" bullsh**, those guy took any objection to the war as being against the troops, period.
You are seriously revising history here.
LmaoTheir game highlights are awful at this point.
The other day they were showing the highlights of the Hawks vs Celtics from game 1, and this was their highlights of the game...
1) Celtics player makes 3
2) Celtics player gets layup
3) Celtics player makes 3
4) Celtic player pulls hamstring
5) Celtic player is helped off the court
6) Final score, Hawks 102, Celtics 101
What the ****

Really? So spitting on returning servicemen as they returned from Vietnam was done by conservatives? Bashing the US military on a regular basis is done by conservatives? Libs attacked our military and conservatives responded with support. Period
