Da Reds thread

Tonight's results:
Dave Williams-Winning pitcher.
Sean Casey-Sitting on his fat, injured, slap hitting a$$.

i agree casey was overpaid and overated, but williams is terrible. his era is hovering around 10 and his fastball is 85 MPH. we have to have another pitcher somewhere better than that in louisville or someplace. i would rather them bring wagner up and try him he can't do any worse. williams has been lucky the reds have been scoring 6+ runs a game or he would be 0-4.

Wagner's not a starter. We'll see what happens when Wilson is healthy. Germano and others are pitching well at Indy. As long as the Reds are winning, it's worth letting Williams try to work it out. There are plenty of good pitchers out there with big ERAs this early in the season. Further, I don't think Greg Maddux or Jamie Moyer, for examples, make the radar gun sizzle. They do get the job done.

I about crapped myself last night, Kent Mercker can throw over 90!

Williams is a waste of humanity but the Reds were able to dump his salary.

Look for Larue to be the next to go because of his salary.

Perhaps even look for a trade involving Kearns for pitching. The Reds did not pick up Ross from Dodgers for nothing.

wagner was a workhorse for the houston cougers in college. they should let him try. you don't draft a guy in the first round to make him a long reliever.

They didn't, they drafted him to be a closer.

Forget what I said about wanting Clement over Arroyo........ :biggrin2:

Wagner may be shot for all time, rushing him up has either ruined his mechanics or his brain cells.

*The Reds should offer Clemens a deal in June. Pitch only on the days he starts and all the little amenaties like having someone carry his dirty clothes..........

DA RED LEGS! DOH The Red killer, Roy Oswalt, is going tonight....

:air_kiss: :biggrin2: :air_kiss: :air_kiss: :air_kiss: :air_kiss:

going for 7 straight today
best record in the majors

one analyst said "well it's because they hit a lot of homers and have a small ballpark" <-- my response to that was "explain their 6-1 road record"

arroyo with 9 strong innings as the reds beat up on the cards. where is empire, we should go to vegas man you are a prophet.

Arroyo started, what, 9-0 last year for the Bo-Sox? But he ended up 15-13?

I will still stick with my theory that the Reds will contend for the Wild Card.

Hey smokedog, I have picked 5-6 Kentucky Derby winners.........
