I get that Bell is a 1st year manager and learning but sometimes I think he is overthinking/over managing the games. Like pulling Hughes in favor of Duke, Hughes proved last year he can be a dependable bull pen arm.
I really don't want to start proclaiming him a beast but Castillo's early season is off to an amazing start: 19.2 IP (gone 7 innings last two starts), 5 H, 2 ER, 8 BBs, and 25 SOs with an .92 ERA.
So a guy who was pretty good in 2017 and really good the 2H of 2018 is good because of a pitching coach he met three months ago? Go on..Luis is the real deal. We will see a much more consistent performance this season if he stays healthy because of Derek Johnson. Has learned how to really pitch instead of throw.
