Dan Mullen to Dallas?

If it's gonna happen, let it be so before the 18th and after all the decent coaches have signed extensions or somewhere else. UF can go down in flames, and I won't shed a tear.

It will be an interesting off season in the NFL and I think Quinn gets fired by Atlanta and it will be interesting to see if Blank goes the college route for his next head coach.

It ain't gonna happen, but it this would be a perfect scenario.......

Dallas misses the playoffs in week 17. Jones fires JG. Jones takes 2 weeks and then hires Mullen and UF is stuck up Sh!+ Creek without a paddle. Please let this happen.

I doubt Mullen is a serious candidate except for the fact he coached Dak. I think anything less than the NFC championship game and Garrett is gone. I still think it is Riley or Urban, but I may be shocked. Cowherd thinks it might be Saban, but I can't imagine that happening.
All that being said, if Jerry calls......you listen and at least weigh the conversation and the possibility. Worst case is you get a raise from your current employer just because you had the conversation.

While you guys pontificate and fantasise about the demise of UF football, and Mullen skipping town, Mullen just flipped a 335lb 6'6" 4* OT from UGA to UF. 2020 class ranking is 6th on rivals and 247 and we still have 5 or 6 more blue chip targets.

For a guy that can't recruit and is jumping ship any second, it sure looks like he is really hiding it well.

Fantasize...........It's wishful thinking on my part.

Pontificate? Wow. Nice use of a big word. Didn't know they used words that big in Hogtowne.

"Fantasise" is a carry over from my high school days of studying in a British system (IGCSE/A-level).

As I can remember, tons of the Mullen haters from our fan base didn't want him at Tennessee because his recruiting at Mississippi State was not great like recruiting great classes consistently is possible there.

I only dislike Mullen for one single reason, he's at UF.

Damn it! You managed to head off another disaster by posting on a Vols message board! 😡

It’s odd that we have fans that think anti-Mullen sentiment had any bearing on his hire.

My point is a lot of people countered the "Pro Mullen to UT" crowd as that he couldn't recruit at Mississippi State so that was obviously a concern with him at UT.......

I would rather have him and Grantham together over Pruitt, but I'm extremely pro Pruitt. Really for me the only difference is choice 1A and 1B..... Just a preference thing.

I want Pruitt here long time.

People are just talking about what they would like to see happen. I don't think it rises to the level of fantisising or pontification. However, I do reserve the right to release flatulence and defecate on the whole state of Florida.

OK. Good pick up. He's not Frosh. AA just yet though so let it play out before crowning UF as the recruiting champs 2020.

I do wish he would not have made that comment right before early signing day.

It could be interpreted more than 1 way. At least he didn't do the usual coach speak we've come accustom to through the years. Lie, deny, lie, deny....then gone.

I really do hope you are right. And I am glad to see an emphasis on offensive line. Of all of our issues, that to me has been the biggest problem of the last 5-10 years.

Florida’s haul on both lines of scrimmage are program-changing so far. They are absolutely killing it at DL/DE and O-line.

For a guy who has gone 20-5 at UF with deficient o-lines, the idea that he’s now landing some monsters at that spot is great news for UF fans.

Florida signed 6 o-linemen last year. From that class, Ethan White earned extensive playing time this year, the other 5 are marinating in Savage’s strength & training program. So far they have 5 commited in this 2020 class, two mammoth high 4-stars and three solid 3-stars.

So that’s 11 o-linemen in the last two cycles, five of the 11 being 4-star guys, Braun borderline 5 star. So he’s getting guys and he’s getting highly rated guys.

More good news is Mullen’s ability to recruit defensive players. Not sure if you’ve seen, but UF’s defensive class this year is off-the-charts good, at every level of defense. Maybe up there with some of the best ever, Urban Meyer days.
