Mullen likely won't leave. With that being said, I wouldn't want him either way. I've said it before but he is a poor recruiter. He is from New Hampshire and somewhat out of place in the South.
I still want to point out that no one to this point has pointed out one good reason that Mullen would be a good hire. "I think he is better than Charlie Strong" and "he is already an SEC coach" do not qualify as good reasons.

I think people saying they like him only are looking at his overall record, but know nothing further than that. They are 8-4 this year, but they don't have one good win. The 4 good teams they played this year curb stomped them.
Not that I care to look, but I'm thinking that a Vandy fan must have written this article - good grammer, no misspelled words, and it has completely looney logic behind it.
Why is his name not gaining more traction? I would rank him above most of the other names on the so called list we have seen. Blows Jones/Golden out of the water. Everywhere he has been has been solid.

Just never been a fan of him. In my book he is still unproven. He wins here then losses here. Just not a steady coach. Hes only had one good year at state. Would accept him before golden though.
Yeah, he sure is knocking down some great competition over there. I had this argument last weekend, and I am more than willing to do it again. What is the best win on Mullen's resume?
