It is an administrative decision that should be decided by hired administrators advised by marketing professionals regardless of sex. It is not a little league team voting for the name patch on their jersey. This exceeds the athlete and affects the entire university and community.

Just think what will likely be tactful and appropriate 30 years from now. While lady vols may be tradition now, it may be wise to plan for the long term future of tradition. We may not even have gender-specific sports by then. We could be thoroughly homogenous.

I've been on this earth about half a century. They can say it over there, but that don't make it so...make sense?

Either Dave no longer wanted to fight or the lawyers convinced him it was cost prohibitive to fight, either way Debby Jennings won.

This is not about NIKE. It's not about marketing. It's not even about money.

I doubt it. Possibly hermaphroditic, if that's a word. If so, Nike would be able to streamline and reduce the selection of clothing even more. That would create another method of production cost reduction. We may all be wearing the same size too if sportswear works in collusion with "big food".

The Waffle Trainer was the last thing Nike made well. Their golf clubs are $hitty. So are their marketing audits.

Keep reading. I said administrators hired to represent the university should take advice from marketing and branding experts. That can be corporate partners or academics in appropriate departments. After taking all of that into account, they should decide without influence from a vocal minority.
