Like I have said different times on here, I just don't like him. He's just my least favorite player. Just like everybody else has a least favorite player.

Does not make him a disgrace to the game; you also appear to dislike him simply because he is a fattier athlete, which, of course, makes you look stellar.

I don't care if you are fatter and can actually move and be an "athlete" but if you are overweight and can't play the sport the way it should be, that's what bothers me. I could care less if Ortiz was 450 pounds if could move well, but he can't.

I just think if you aren't athletic, then it's a disgrace to the other players in the sport who stay and keep their self in shape.

Your position is one that could be destroyed by a 6 year old with a severe learning disability. That said, this thread is enjoyable.

I cannot imagine that anyone on the Red Sox feels that Ortiz is a disgrace to their team or the sport.

It was not Ortiz's decision for the AL to introduce the DH position; being that there is a position that simply requires one to be a good hitter, Ortiz has taken advantage of such an opportunity.

Like I said, I don't care if somebody is overweight or not, as long as you are in shape for your size. I just don't like Ortiz, plain and simple.

I can see your first and third charges as reasonable.

I would love to see the AL get rid of the DH; however, I cannot blame players for extending their careers by exploiting that position. Also, as long as he can exploit that position, he sees no financial incentive (or, not enough of one) to stay in great shape.
