DC Black Hawk vs Plane crash, Philly Crash. Malicious, or incompotence?

Has there been a worse 2-3 month span in aviation in any recent times? I feel like everyday more people on dying in crazy crashes.

Spoke with my Dad who is a retired UH-60 pilot about the DC crash. He had a few opinions. One being that the military crew could have been used to flying that route while never having to worry about planes coming in for approach on that runway which could have caused them to be not as aware. He also said in big cities it is easy for aircraft lights to be washed in the city’s lights and they just didn’t see them. Another point he said without knowing altitudes is that the Blackhawk could have been flying a little higher than 200ft and the fixed wing could have been a tad lower due to flying VFR vs IFR.

The idea of DEI IS the idea of ADA. Like "hey, your shoppers...most of them walk...but people in a wheelchair buy stuff too. Make things equitable for them by providing access and bathroom accomodations. DEI.

Hey, this kid has a learning disability, but they can still learn. Give them some accomodations and possibly modifications to allow them to attend classes and learn. (IEP/504)...that's giving them an equitable education. And you know what classes with both mainstream and special ed students are called? Inclusion Classrooms. For decades. Well before DEI was coined.


Hey, we have a school that's mostly staffed by female teachers, but it's healthy for young boys to have male role models. Let's consider, when possible, making an effort to find high quality male candidates, but not at the expense of merit. Diversity.

That's a reasonable approach to DEI. Other proponents have a more radical view of it.

Sucks for them, but Trump would rather blame a non existent trans pilot. What do you expect him to do? Swim?
