DC Black Hawk vs Plane crash, Philly Crash. Malicious, or incompotence?

Notice a change to the thread title - does human error always mean incompetency? So every mistake I’ve ever made means I was incompetent?
Yes.

We are all neligent and incompotent to some degree. However when that costs 60+ lives there has to be accountability. Big boy pants stuff. I realize this is a difficult concept for some people today.

The change in the thread title was because an additional crash, but the same topic more or less.

Man, if the flying public only knew some of the mistakes made daily in aviation. The important thing is the briefing on the plan to mitigate mistakes and how you will handle them. I don’t know why we aren’t hearing anything about the TCAS system on board these aircraft yet. How we respond to a TCAS resolution advisory is usually briefed before an approach if not at the very beginning of a trip. Anytime we receive a “resolution advisory, we are REQUIRED to follow it. With an RA, the aircraft aural warning yells at you to either climb or descend aggressively and also shows an associated green band on the Vertical Speed Indicator indicating which direction it is commanding you to fly. One, if not both of, these aircraft should have gotten a TCAS warning pretty early in this incident, assuming both TCAS systems were operative.

Mostly true....but it really is more about incomptency typing. I'm aware of the spelling errors once I go back and look. I type train of thought tho, and really feel if the point comes across in conversation I do not need to apply an MLA standard. J types likely will hate that, anal personalities are irritated, but the P in me thinks that is funny, I sometimes slip a teh in there just for them. ...and I never did learn to type correctly.....just fast. If there is ever a need for an accurate typist that 60+ lives shoul;d depend on, I am not the man for that job.

Cheatle and Mayorkas was incompetent. They had the inability to run SS and Homeland Security.


I'll buy that someone here in DC crash was negligent...
Well incompotence vs negligence is simply dependent on the standards you set. Anyone want to hazard a guess when the standards were lowered and by whom?

Paternity Leave Pete was incompetent in his inability to properly staff the FAA. His negligence put a strain on the staff involved in lost lives.

This is where it gets way beyond all of us regualr people.....but I did read something about the angle made the planes system less reliable. Maybe there was a mechanical/digital issue.

Thank God I don’t have to carry that burden. My “near death” mistakes were my own near death. Doesn’t strike me that the result of the mistake is the determining factor of whether it was incompetence or not.
One will stay with you forever. Not sure how someone copes with a situation like DC.

The fact that both aircraft TCAS should have been absolutely screaming at them (with copilots right next to them who can also hear them) is what makes me think this was intentional by the helo pilot.

And his boss was incompetent in hiring him solely because being gay in leftist circles=Qualified to do anything. Because they just want to sit around and celebrate how much progress we’ve made because we hired a gay guy to X,Y, or Z. That’s the benefit to the hire. They get to pat themselves on the back.

He did the same thing with the SCOTUS pick. No other demographic even had a shot at that seat. He essentially filtered out everyone but black women in the hiring process. Oh oh oh. But look at our diversity!!! Der der

Pete actually increased ATC hiring unlike Mrs. Mitch McConnell (Elaine Chao)....

The main reason Chao was hired wasnt her experience but because she was f***ing Mitch McConnell.

They can be deferred as a maintenance item, but if operating they both should have picked up the other aircraft in that close proximity. The flight data recorders and voice recorders will tell the investigators a lot wrt the TCAS system during this accident.
