I think people maybe underestimating how much chaos his influencers are causing in his recruitment. I doubt it’s all kid.Just my .02 after hearing him talk.
1. He got super stoked by talking with Deion. Easy to see how that would happen. He is the most charismatic coach in CFP.
2. He heard all the snake oil salesman talk. He took a good look at the chaos and Deion throwing his OL coach under the bus.
3. My hunch is the coach at Maryland is someone he respects and he is the one that got him really looking in to Co. Hence, the reason he's got Md in his list, but he knows that isn't the best place to take the next step.
4. I think he really likes Boo and I believe we are solidly in his recruitment, but he is still really torn between doing what's best (any of his top 5) because that requires him to admit to himself he got conned by Deion. I truly believe this kid is looking for stability and a tight locker room.
I don't disagree. There are many reasons I don't care for the NFL, but the vibe that Prime gives off is common there and certainly contributes to my distaste. I'm imagining that Prime wishes to build his program on the same "swagger" and I imagine that his program will be full of the same insufferable vibe. No thanks.
I love Heupel's tone and approach.
Each school seems to have some hidden confidence here. I was surprised to see Oregon's board, guess they thought they were the original runner-up and are still in it.
And maybe they're right. Impossible to tell with recruits like this that shoot fodder everywhere.
You lost me at handler. My guess is he has several. Not wild about this one. Heupel has done a great job in establishing the culture. Is he really worth the risk? I'm not sure this time. This just has so many red flags to it. Nah. Pass.Yeah he suddenly seems to be hating the recruitment game. Maybe there is some merit to the rumor of his handler overplaying their hand.
He jumped off multiple times due to phone calls so coaches are lighting him up
I can see how you might compare Prime to Tony, but they feel different too. Tony himself doesn't come across as brash or arrogant or flashy, he just lets the team enjoy themselves while they perform at a high level. The sunglasses at night indoors thing is just trying too hard, but jmo.I don't disagree.
But I love Tony V and his team's ultra swagger too. Have a feeling if Deion was our coach we'd be defending him and talking about how other schools hate us for our swagger and dgaf attitude
But yes I'm more of a Heup vibe overall.
Tony has an alter ego that shows up at game time. He is ultra-competitive. The players absolutely love his mentality. He is loose during practice and when the cameras are not around.I can see how you might compare Prime to Tony, but they feel different too. LOL, Tony Vitello is NOT the same as Prime. One he was never a HoF player in Majors, ergo, doesnt have the Saviour of the World mentality.Tony has an alter ego that shows up at game time. He is not Deion during interviews.
This makes a lot of sense.Just my .02 after hearing him talk.

I am not.. I said most of their players not all. Colorado much like Nebraska back then would get a few guys each year but their teams were mostly 3 star guys. They were not pulling in top 15 classes. Did they have a few years of good recruiting once it got rolling sure.... but Colorado has always been a hard sell just like Nebraska. NIL can change that. You're putting up a big list of players but Colorado was playing good football for over a decade. Over that same period a list for a school like say UT or UF would be 100 guys. I would have posted this in my initial post but since I could not find anything before 2002 it was pointless. But I was there following it real time because that was my college/navy years and we followed college recruiting very closely. It was all we argued about during spades games on campus and on the ship. I attended an HBCU and funny enough Colorado and Nebraska were popular teams on campus mostly because we played a lot of NCAA football and their team colors matched frat colors Kappas wore a lot of Nebraska gear alphas wore Colorado, Omegas lakers, Sigmas wore our own I went to TSU. Then when I joined the Navy I ran into people actually from those hellholes so the arguments went on.And this is just flat-out wrong. You really hurt your credibility here. Bill McCartney recruited as well as anybody in the late 80's and early 90's ... Just off the top of my head, I can think of at least 15 blue chip players that McCartney signed ... mostly either from Texas or Michigan.
Sal Aunese (this is the guy who knocked up McCartney's daughter and died of cancer)
Darian Hagan
Deon Figures
Eric Bieniemy
Mike Pritchard
Chad Brown
Alfred Williams
Kanavis McGhee
Ted Johnson
Greg Biekert
Joel Steed
Jay Leeuwenberg
Christian Fauria
MIchael Westbrook
Kordell Stewart
Rashaan Salaam
^^^^ Most of these guys, except for Aunese and Hagan, had NFL careers. Their blue chip hauls of LB's year after year were the best in the country at the time. Brown, Johnson, Biekert, Williams and McGhee all had lengthy NFL careers ... and they were all blue chip prospects too. You are just wrong.
