'24 DC OT Jordan Seaton (Future Portal Entry)

I did not say that he was a commit. I said "recruit" because Seaton was a recruit. In effect, you are objecting by arguing that we must win a recruit before we can lose a recruit, which does not even make good nonsense. The rest of your post I get.

You can’t lose what you never had

If you really want to see a first year head coach who did a great job of turning around a program, which went 1-11 last season ... then take a look at ESPN right now. Alex Golesh and South Florida are going to finish the season 7-6 with a bowl victory. Yes, I know that Colorado played a much tougher schedule ... but still, nobody is talking about the job Golesh has done. I would take him over "Coach Prime" and the hype all day long.

Wow! Didn’t realize they only won one last year! Great job!!!

As a matter of fact, Alex Golesh won 3 more games this year than Jeff Scott did in his entire 3 year tenure at South Florida.

South Florida : Under Scott

2020 : 1-8
2021 : 2-10
2022 : 1-11

Total : 4-29

South Florida : Under Golesh

2023 : 7-6

I've been trying to tell people we missed Golesh this year. He has a feel for the game and offensive matchups that's uncanny. He knows how to stack play calls and put defenses in conflict. He's going to be a good one.

That being said, I'm taking nothing away from CJH. It's his offense and Golesh is better for having been associated with it.

Yea don't understand the downplaying of what Golesh has done so far down there. His success hurts folks argument that he wasn't a huge loss to our offense.

Yeah .... but not even Golesh was ever going to make Joe Milton an accurate passer.

Yeah, but we were also just more banged up, worse at QB, worse at WR and worse on the o-line (didn't have time to develop a lot of plays)

It's still hard to tell just how much we actually missed from him.

Nothing this kid does will surprise me. He could end up at Maryland, Oregon, or Tennessee and I wouldn't be surprised. Or this could all have been a game cooked up by Deion for more attention and he signs with Colorado. I could see any of these scenarios happening.
