That’s great! The advertising during games and other stuff they are doing must be starting to spread, because that number has increased dramatically in a short amount of time.
It has, dramatically. Between a concerted grassroots effort, partnership with the AD (including coaches) and incredible events like the tailgates and away game events, growth has been off the charts.

It's so simple, really. We're all ON THIS VERY BOARD because we not only care about the Vols on Saturdays but, unlike casual fans, we spend our time reading about Tennessee recruiting 24/7/365. And being a member of The Vol Club is clearly the most important and direct way we as fans can impact the outcome of these recruiting battles for elite, bluechip prospects we all live and die on. And if anyone needed any other reason (what's in it directly for me?), on top of that you get cool swag, discounts on merch, access to the best tailgate on campus, and the opportunity to participate in one of a kind experiences like Night at Neyland.

I don't know. There are different levels of donors. I'd say the mega donors probably aren't included in those numbers.
Average Vol Club member has been hovering around $34 a month. That doesn’t include the big time guys/gals.

So basically every 2,500 members gives us an additional $1MM for players.

Goal to be at 5,000 by seasons end and 10k by next season.

Y'all should have great big 'Waffle House' sized letters with the website plastered on big screens during Huep's Spyre pitch.

I like it. Those are good numbers. We can get to 10,000, that’s $4 million every year going to get the best players for our programs, and that does not even include the big money donors.

This new photo shoot rule is exactly why the NCAA cannot govern in a effective and or timely manner. They make rules on a bunch of trivial things and before you turn around they don’t even know all there rules. They seem bent on trying too make rules on things that are almost impossible to govern. In my opinion the single biggest mistake they ever made was trying to control what boosters gave to athletes whether it was money, jobs or housing. They should have said it is impossible for us to monitor a booster that is in no other way connected to a university. If grown men or women wanted to employ or give a athlete or any student money or housing that was over 18 that is there business. All power 5 schools have big boosters so there is no hidden advantage. That was a much better way than the selective monitoring that used to go on. They should also be allowed to have athletic dorms, like they used too for all athletes. Coaches should also have more access to his players during the off season not less.

True. They are also passing rules that big coaches want implemented to save face. They are hoping to appease the big schools and save themselves. If conferences keep realigning and growing, the NCAA is in big trouble and they know that.
If they lose the NCAA Basketball Tournament, that will be the end, which I think will happen if power conferences decide to only play each other, and block them out.. they already don’t own or operate the CFP.

In fairness though, if I am reading the rule right, the new ncaa rule only prohibits the university doing the photoshoots, if the recruit wants to hire their own photographer or if a parent wants pictures then they can, as long as the school doesnt do it

The billion+ dollar from March Madness funds their entire corrupt operation

I am sure we will all sleep more soundly knowing the NCAA is saving us from the scourge of high quality memento pictures.

It is like the NCAA wants to go extinct.

If they want to regulate picture quality they should be making broadcasters provide 4k feeds instead of the crap they are providing now which is barely HD in a lot of cases.

Good grief what is the harm or freakin advantage of this. And they are just limiting it. To me it’s a waste of time and energy for a rule that really has no good reason to exist. The NCAA tries to keep it’s hand on too much and always has. Of all the issues out there this one is just is a perfect example of they never met a rule they didn’t like but could not properly and fairly enforce.

I think they probably had a successful day signing people up in opening up the 98 championship team tailgate to the public last weekend

Correct. It’s a nothing rule, especially since OVs are unlimited now. They’re trying to keep tabs on the money by limiting spending to OV weekends. Good luck to them.
