'24 DC OT Jordan Seaton (Future Portal Entry)

I'm going to have to disagree there, he fielded 2 1,000 rushers in a 3 year span. Everyone and their mother knew Arkansas was going to run it, but they still leaned on you.

He's also a big reason why Chaney had a jump in production in the 2012 season for Tennessee.
So…a GOOD RUSHING ATTACK is the hallmark of an elite OL coach? Another nod to Ellarbee. And this rushing attack netted 8 wins vs 5 for Pittman’s one and out here and the losing record for his 3 seasons in Arkansas (18-20).

They were the highest graded OL in all of P5 last year. Dan Enos is a cancer, I'm not judging one down year on that terrible offense.
Who was doing the GRADING? And why didn’t it translate to the QB having time and the RBs running lanes?

I believe I specifically said I liked Elarbee. I just think Pittman is more proven at the top level.

I don't really know why you're comparing the whole team when we're talking about individual units either. That just muddies the water.

On3 has osu as the favorite landing spot. Who’s the Tahds ?
Jordan Seaton doesn't have any Crystal Ball predictions on 247. I think that, and the number of visits are what to watch. On3 is a good site for analysis of the college football season, but that is not a very good site for recruiting coverage. They are just guessing, which anyone can do. It could be Ohio State, but I don't believe that they are basing that on any inside information.

Pittman is a fine OL coach, but that’s where it ends. Should’ve stayed solely as a position coach.

Terrible at assembling a coaching staff, bad choice after bad choice with his hires. At the end of the day, it’s on him.

I’m also not blaming him for the OL, even if that’s his specialty. Pruitt wasn’t great with his DBs here or didn’t live up to the hype I should say. I think that may be a case of him trying to put his hand in multiple things/positions again like Pruitt did.

I’m sure @gohogs14 tell us more because I’m probably wrong haha

You brought it up with the rushing attack comment. When the bottom line of WINNING “muddies the water”, might want to filter that shizz.

GBO Mr Seaton will look great in Orange and White. And Yes Coach E is really good. OL is the hardest position to coach and develop players. OL play even in NFL is not very good because it's so hard to find players to play at high level just not many out there so developing guys to just be good enough is what all OL coaches face. It's a reality people. In CHRIST Alone
But the top teams are almost always tough up front like Bama and Georgia. I agree it’s tough to get there especially in terms of depth. But I think we are making strides in recruitment there and I think Ellerbe is a good coach that can get the most out of his players. Identifying offensive line talent is tough to do. Building quality depth there that are capable is the key. GBO

I did not bring up the overall team wins. I brought up production by the unit. I could have the greatest online ever assembled but if it's a sal sunseri led defense, it's not going anywhere

I'd think you'd judge a coach over the long term not for one year. That's kind of what consistency implies.
I’d think you’d remember how long he’s been the head coach at Arkansas, and you have one season where the PFF nerds share your fanboyhood. You KIND OF dismiss the consistency of Ellarbee’s resume because of what Pittman did at UGA…which is matched by EVERY OL COACH at UGA.

I saw KJ Jefferson running for his life this season and Arkansas running backs getting ravaged in the backfield and it had nothing to do with the OL…just the mean ole OC. 🤔

That's pretty much how I see it as well.

I wouldn't defend him as a head coach except to say he inherited a terrible situation. That's part of the job though, and he knew that when he took it. His failures are his own.
