Dear Romney and McCain

Yeah, the problem and attitude is limited to the democrats. Republicans have more class than that. :eek:lol:

The game is played the same way on both sides.

Sir, with all due respect, my post was sarcasm, in reponding to the original post. I think most of us assume that politics in general is a slimy, dirty biz at best. In reading some of your post I know your feelings in the political arena. I dont need some idiotic laughing face everytime you disagree with something, and especially on a post that was meant to be sarcastic.

I don't have any problem with them sniping at each other right now. My problem with the GOP is that they stop sniping once they're one on one with the democrat.

Ann Coulter on Hannity and Combs just said McCain is more Liberal then Hilliary Clinton and she would vote for Clinton over McCain. She's probably right. I hope McCain doesnt get the nomination.

Romney is smarter then McCain. The more debates they have, the more apparent it becomes.

We need the Huckster to drop out soon, he sucking up conservative votes Romney would be getting. This needs to be a 2 horse race, for Romney to win, IMHO. Bill Maher hears about Coulter's comments, she's going to be back on his show in a hot flash.

Yeah, it would be nice if Huckabee would drop out before Tuesday and endorse Romney... but I really don't think it will happen. If not, looks like McCain will run away with the republican nomination.

I know, I agree with you, I was really hoping that someone would get in his ear and tell him he has no chance. Let me ask you this: If your Romney, do you go to him and cut a deal? Like some of the whispers going around with the McCain camp, Gov Crist maybe in line for the VP job and so on. This all water cooler gossip of course, but I would hate that he would have to cut a deal to win, but anyway.............

As long as Romney doesn't stoop to the level of McCain's dirty tactics, I'd say he should do anything to improve his standing in this race... even if that does mean joining forces with Huckabee.

Absurd. McCain is not more liberal than Clinton by a longshot.

While I don't think McCain is more "liberal" than Clinton, but I don't think its "by a longshot" either. Check their voting records, you might be suprised. I do think that is the view of a very frustrated part of the Republican party(conservatives) that feel they have no one representing them, or their views. Coulter is fun to listen too, but we all know you have to take her with a grain of salt, she's the political "shock jock", but IMO she really was very, very frustrated.

Coulter main beef with McCain seems to be his stance on illegal immigration, and not taking the amnesty proposal off the table.

The truth is in the general election, Clinton will uncover the dirt on McCain. His involvement with the Keating 5, the strings his Admiral father pulled in order for him to become a pilot. The stories of McCain being a very bad pilot, losing 3 planes before being shot down (per Michael Savage radio show).

I think McCain might lose a general election, and isn't the show in a lot of Republicans think.

I just don't like McCain because he seemed to break ranks with the GOP cause after the 2004 election, as if positioning himself as a "moderate choice" in '08.

I'm going to be voting for Mitt on Tuesday, hoping it does some good, but probably not. But, if McCain is the nominee, i'll consider it a strategic victory, the 2008 presidential loss will end up being a major coup for the head-on-straight movement in America.

The leeches of society won't run out to vote in '10 and '12 like they are now, if the socialists placate them enough, assuming reality TV still exists at that time.

I think you bring up something that I am going to look at if this shakes out. McCain and Clinton are friends, in some circles, they are thought to be good friends. How hard are they going to go after each other. We all know the Clinton's way, but McCain has shown that he will do anything now to get elected. Does he wait, and see what Billary does, then go accordingly, or does he cut her off at the knees from the get go. In this scenario, with no "dog in the hunt" as it were, I would be at least somewhat interested in the carnage.

Then why do so many hold that to be true? Oh yeah, it's a stereotype, kinda like the whole Liberals are all tree hugging socialists thing.

And Repulicans, are money grubbing war mongers, the list is endless on both sides.

Not a complete view of the voting record but these rankings show Clinton as being a strong liberal and McCain being a moderate conservative.

NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008)

There is a pdf link to McCain's history of voting since his 2007 rating is incomplete.

He is left of hard-core conservatives but definitely right of center. Hillary's voting record has her in the strong liberal category.

They are not that close (relatively speaking).

Interestingly enough, Ron Paul is a lot closer to Clinton than McCain is.

Well, I understand your point, absolutely right, I did a poor job of expressing a point, that from the conservative point of view, McCain is so far left in the Rep party, that he is viewed as more liberal than Mrs. Clinton. We all know HC is a liberal, and I would say she has moved more left over the past year than she started when first elected. From the Rep perspective, when you attach your self to Kennedy, Feingold, gang of 14, the whispers of switching parties, and so on, the appearance of liberalism is greater from that certain group. I'm sorry, I did not express this better the first time. My apologies.......

Never a need for apologies on stating your views.

The most disturbing thing about McCain's rating to me is that he didn't vote enough to get one!

This whole missing votes stuff really p#@@es me off. Do your dag-gum jobs.
