I haven't in a while, but I just bought my daughter a bow, and she's trigger happy to kill a deer.

I've had my daughter turkey hunting for a couple of years now. She got her first turkey last year. It made hunting fun for me again.

We plan on getting her first deer this year.

Good luck to her this year. I gotta say having kids in the woods just takes it to a new level. I can't wait till my son is ready to take his first deer.

You and me both. Got mine a starter bow. He's still nervous about using it.

I've had mine working with a Daisy BB gun for the last 2 years, and have had one of those cheap buck commander compound bows. If he grows enough to fit I think "Santa" will deliver his first .22 this year. Maybe he'll do well enough that he can get a squirrel this year.

Thank you. She'll be happy with a doe. Just watching her have the thrill of the hunt is what makes it worth it for me.

Also teaching her how to enjoy nature plus being able to do this on her own when I'm not around.

Yeah, watching her smoke that turkey at 25 yds and the sheer excitement on her face was better than any hunt I've done on my own.

I know what you mean, haven't experienced it hunting yet, but I have fishing. Thrills me for my kids.

So, I don't have any trail cam pics to show (I hunt on my family's property and rarely even scout it, but it holds lots of deer), but I've been shooting a lot lately and decided to make things a little easier on myself with a bow stand and a stand for the new target I bought. Got all my cuts done today and realized I was a piece short on the target stand. I got the bow stand cut and assembled, though. Here's the pic.

I built it out of 1 1/2" pvc. I'm going to add a cup holder to the top and wrap it in camo tape. I'll post the target stand when it's done.

I like it, I may have to copy that.

Ok, so I finished my target stand and used it for the first time today. Built this out of 2" pvc and drilled bolt holes through the top. The only thing I don't like about it is that it swings when the arrow hits. May have to add a crossbar to the back.

Take the corners of the bottom part of the bag and attach them to the stand like the top corners. Thst should keep it from swinging.

After closer inspection doesn't look like it has bottom corners. Some bar or bungy cord across the back would do the job.

Yeah, there are no grommets on the bottom of the bag or I would've drilled more holes. I like the bungee cord idea, though.
