Anyone hunt catoosa what in Crossville? Any good spots you could recommend? I'm out here now for a few days.

Someone passed me up Saturday with a 10 point in the bed of his pick up. It's fur was red (not blood).

Where do you all go to do your hunting? Has the drought had any effect on things?

Looks like you all are finding some fine trophies!

I took mine on the Catoosa Wildlife management area near Crossville, TN. The drought didn't seem to be having much affect on them. I was hunting fairly close to a large river though. There are a lot of fires out there. I wasn't hunting near them though. I had some family that was and the deer didn't seem to mind the brush fires there. They were meandering through some of the recently burned areas.

Couple of nice deer you killed there guys. Unfortunately, my health has kept me from going deer hunting this season. I hope to get back at it next deer season. I miss that adrenaline & killing of those awesome dining/eating animals.

Congratulations to both of you. My almost 15 year old teenage son is still hunting for his 1st buck. He missed one last year that was a 6pt buck. I've ran into health problems & can't take him now but he has a friend from high school that he & his dad takes my son hunting.

It's not the same area I take him hunting though. Where we go on family land we have over 200 acres. If we were able to go where I want to hunt I believe he would no doubt at least have some shots at killing some bucks. He barely missed that 6pt buck last season.

Hope to have my health back next season to take him where we can go together. He's an avid hunter & fisherman too. Just like I was at his age. Again, congratulations to your daughter. Is this her actual 1st deer too or had she killed does before? Thanks!

Edit: Looking back at your 1st post on this then it was her 1st deer period. Nice that her 1st kill was a buck. :good!:

Got myself a buck yesterday, a Nice 10 pt. The best part was that my son was there with me when I shot it. Now he's excited a heck to try his hand at it next year.

Dang nice buck! Thanks for passing on the tradition to your son. Can't seem to light a fire under mine. I was begging to go with my dad as a teen.
